  1. AF15 is KING simple as that!! TMNT #1 does not even come close as far as popularity or as a blue chip book!! Spidey is in the up coming Captain America movie and he will then join the Avengers on the big screen as well. No way are the TMNT in demand like Spidey is and NEVER will be!! TMNT #1 is a nice/cool book to own but it has nothing on AF15!! Hulk #1, Showcase #4 and other top SA keys smash the Turtles 24/7 365 days a year!! There is no point trying to convince me otherwise Spider-Man out sells the TMNT by a TON of money every single year. If you are happy with your trade then that is what matters but financially you did not come out the winner in this trade!! This ''ugly'' looking AF15 CGC 4.0 sold for almost 15 000$ on Heritage Auctions in November of 2015. 2. Agreed I was going to join the other then forgot to do so!!
  3. This whole topic is laughable.....AF15 is KING and the 3rd most important comic book EVER made!! I like the TMNT since I grew up with them but they are no where near being in the league of AF15's.....not even close!! It is like comparing Babe Ruth with an almost no name (Semi good) player of his time or even of our time....it's called insanity!! Hulk, Iron Man, Flash, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Thor, Ant-Man (TTA27), Justice League Of America (BB28), The Avengers and so on are way more in demand/popular than the TMNT!! I would not trade any top 10 SA book for a TMNT #1....NEVER!! In the end TMNT #1 is a cool book to own if you do not have to trade a more important book to own one. I hate putting TMNT #1 down like this because I like the book but when comparing it to AF15 or any other key SA book it simply makes no sens at all!!
  4. Thanks I appreciate the info!! How about sale prices for 9.0's and higher?
  5. Can someone tell the the CGC population on TTA27 in 9.0 and higher? And also what was the last sale price on the highest known copy if possible?
  6. Not everyone can be pushed around (sellers)....some sellers are certain that they sent in nice images or they do not have the proper equipment to take nice clear images (or whatever other reasons they may have). And some sellers simply do not care and figure the book will sell anyway.
  7. Same can be said about some of the images posted by ComicLink. Most of the time when this happens it is because the book is still with the seller and he or she sent in those images. I have noticed this over time and when ComicLink has the book in hand the images are much nicer and most of the time you get a front and back images of the book. That is what I really like about Heritage Auctions they seem to always have the books on hand. I remember when I purchased my BB28 the images sucked on their site and I called them and asked to have new images sent to me and within a few hours I received much clearer scans (this is what made me buy it I would have passed on it with the older images for sure).
  8. Same here I could spend hours just looking at all these gems and I do!! To bad most images on pages 520 and below are no longer available (can't see them anymore).
  9. Best to do private sales on websites such as this that way no one ''steals'' our hard earned money. They all want to ''steal'' the profit we should be making for holding on to the books ourselves.
  10. That is most likely new because I do not have a store (and never did) and back then I was not a power seller (I am now) and never paid more than 250$.
  11. My mistake it is just hard for me to accept....hahaha!!
  12. That truly sucks I bet most people are no happy with this versus a maximum of 250$. But I guess if you are selling a very expensive item say 50 000$ or more then it is still much better than the 19,5% most auction houses charge (unless you make a side deal with them).
  13. A lot of bidders do not trust 2nd chance offers especially ones that happen so fast they think they where shilled bid. He could also have sent a 2nd chance offer and still re list it like he did and witch ever one sells first he would take the other auction down but he would be running the risk of paying 750$ fees on his current auction (aka ebay penalties if he did receive at least 1 bid).
  14. Got that felling as well but the seller could be a french Canadian that does not know how to write properly in English (maybe someone from a different culture).
  15. Maximum you can save is 250$ not a penny more since some time a few years back Ebay charges a maximum of 10% on any item from 1$ to 2500$ and not a penny more for anything over 2500$. The one that gets you is the 3% paypal fees but then again I am not even sure if they charge anything over the first 2500$. You would need to contact paypal and ask. I am 100% sure with Ebay even if you sell a 10$ million dollar item you pay a maximum of 250$. I have sold a few items in the 10 000$ to 20 000$ over the last few years and never paid more than 250$ and as far as paypal I simply can't remember as stated above.
  16. Yes I saw that as well but did not want to say anything....kinda ''weird'' especially knowing for a fact that SC4 in any grade is on fire and will sells itself.
  17. Also he says he will ship to Canada and the U.S funny thing is when I look for it on Ebay.ca it is not there it is only on Ebay.com and it does not show the option to ship within Canada.
  18. I wonder if the buyer only realized at the end when he won that the comic was located in Canada and basically backed out as to not have to pay duties on the item (or very expensive shipping to insure the item). Now that really sucks for the seller what a waste of extra time and people that bid will most likely not bid again since they will think this is some sort of ''scam'' aka shill bidding (this exact same thing happened to me when I sold a item that had a value of over 10 000$).
  19. Just received this in the mail today (I am collecting #1 to #50 graded by CGC then the rest raw):
  20. Thanks I purchased it from Heritage Auctions. Link (Paid almost 8400$ but I really wanted it since it has very nice eye appeal): http://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/the-brave-and-the-bold-28-justice-league-of-america-dc-1960-cgc-fn-60-cream-to-off-white-pages/a/7147-91236.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  21. Thanks yeah I am going to buy one as a fan not for the money. I will try and get a 5.0 or a 6.0 graded by CGC.
  22. This seems very strange to me as The Avengers movies (And the future looks very bright as well as there are more and more movies that will be released) have done very well and they have become one of the fan favorite super hero teams of all time. I would have thought it would have passed BB28 but not even close why is this? I am a big fan of The Avengers and will pick up a mid grade Avengers #1 some time in the near future. To be honest I prefer The Avengers story line much more than the Justice League Of America series (I will still keep my BB28 and I have zero intentions of selling it).
