GREAT shot...how do you do that (make them line up that way, I would love to do that for my tec's, but I am clueless)
thanks
rick
An easy (and free) alternative to photoshop is online photo storage website flickr.com which among other cool features (slideshows, set organization, etc) can do wall-size "posters" of up to 100 comic images. You can use the free poster preview function to quickly create collages in jpeg format like this:

Raboy was the man! Do you have a larger scan of that one? I need to get some of those issues.
Here is a larger scan....

"Little Shop of Horrors" prototype!
Jack
Lots Plants Cheap
that whole run has wonderful covers!
Just picked up this Frisky Flag cover...
...the cover reminds me of my Captain Marvel Jr. #9:

Came in the mail today...Marvel Mystery #35:
Battling dozens of heavily armed Nazis, Sub-mariner's choice of weapon is, of course,...a wrench!

So who else uses pink but (or like) the great Lou Fine?
WW 9 has great use of pinks as well.
More Lou Fine Pink to ponder...

I posted this in the Sensation Thread and I'll think I'll post it here. I can now cross another one off the old want list.
Great book ...the yellow cover, red logo, elevated camera and "Hollywood" stage setting brings to mind Young Allies #5:

Talk about subtle...this one has Hitler in a framed photo on the wall!

Tec 1 for me...primarily due to the scarcity factor. The Action #4 is a wonderful and significant but the lack of Superman on the cover makes it less desirable for me. The unrestored Tec 1 just has that "wow" factor!

Missing is Daredevil Comics #18 (Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini & Mickey Mouse cover)
Perhaps as inconspicuous as America's Best #8. Look closely, Hitler is being hit by the ball...

Again, similar values (appr. $120). Which woud you choose?

Raboy vs. Schomburg....Junior vs. Reaper!!!

Besides USA #17 is just reusing the "Wheel of Death" theme from Captain America #5.
Wow, nice connection ...I didn't see the "Wheel of Death" parallel with Cap #5 before!

Which one would you choose? Similar market values...probably going to sell the other one based on your feedback.

I took my raw comics out of their mylar today, to fill in the Month and Year on my CGC submission form, and I
thought, I would update my group shot, since it has doubled to 10 books.
Great collection of books, Mike!

Surfer,
Would have been great to work out a deal with you. Unfortunately I didn't post on boards first, but I'm a quick learner!
Which is why my Superman #13, Funny Pages V3#1 (scooped up by CentaurMan) and Crime Suspenstories #22 (VTcomics) were listed on the boards first.
Stay tuned...I may have 2-3 more Timely sales before Halloween.

Kudos to CentaurMan on a great win-win trade....
Funny Pages V3#1 (Bruce Wayne Tryout)
for
Stars and Stripes #3
Thanks, Win!! (a great guy to deal with)

Great issue. There was a nice 5.0 copy that popped up on Comiclink and I would have bin'ed it if it showed up a few weeks from now. Book was scooped up right away for only $1,375 which I thought was a steal.
That was my Marvel Mystery CGC 5.0 that I sold on Comiclink for $1375. Probably should have held out for more...
Glad I sold it, actually. I just got a great deal from Metropolis on a Daring Mystery #1...and now it's mine!

Picked this one up this weekend at a local show. Really like the cover. The first story is also an atomic bomb story so I could technically place it in my Cold War collection! I'm thinking of possibly collecting the run of this title. Nice combination of my interest in comics and history.
Mark, I had a similar reaction to this Real Life #13...Schomburg War & Flag cover with a Yank beating up on a Nazi and Jap (simultaneously!) and hints of Politics (Geaorge Washington?), Sport (Ross), Business (Westinghouse) and Law (Cromwell). Sword, Rifles and Pistols. Pedigree book to boot. What's not to like? Would probably even make a good avatar...

One of my few Fox books. Unlike the other things I collect, in which I'm usually a staunch completionist without regard for cover quality, I'm generally quite picky about my Foxes. Here's one I like:
NICE Mystery Men , CM!! That is one of my fav covers... I missed winning it in the Comic Heaven auction that just ended, but I'm always on the lookout for that particular issue (anyone? anyone?).
Great post.
Amazing cover on the Mystery Men #10....and bondage, too! My want list just expanded by one!

Congrat's on both books, GE.
adamstrange picked up a lovely copy of Fan4 in San Diego this year...perhaps he will grace us by posting a scan?
Also, and it's not widely known, but Fantastic Comics 4 is the first appearance of Transparent Leg Man.

GE - Nice looking book. May I kindly ask what type or brand/model of scanner you are using. The scan of the slab looks great! Congrats on the book...
Thanks, Earthbornpig. I use an all-purpose HP7130 color printer/fax/scanner.... scans slabbed books effortlessly.

Once you create a QOOP poster for any set of images selecting the options you want...you generate the free preview...(without having to order the poster itself of course )
Once you get the preview image, right click to save the picture (maybe 400-600kb) onto your PC and then upload back to your flickr.com account. When you open this image (or any of our comic scans in flickr.com), click "all sizes" to show small, medium, large, or original sizes. The medium size is ~200kb or lower perfect for posting on forums.
Good luck!
