Great pick-up!
BTW, here is a photo of the real General Erwin Rommel, known as "The Desert Fox".
Rommel is considered one of Germany's greatest field generals but also supposedly took part in a plot to assassinate Hitler, for which he was forced to commit suicide before the end of WW2.

Brian, great pickup on the Whiz #18! Thanks for sharing.
Like you, I get inspired by the boards seeing so many wonderful GA books....the "Wow!" factor is a big driver of my want list which-- as you know-- keeps growing and growing!!
I guess that's what makes this hobby so much fun.

podboy,
Took me over four years to find a decent copy of Sub-mariner #9 but it was sure worth the wait!
Good luck on your quest. Sounds like your close to completing a very impressive Sub-mariner 1-10 set.

To keep the thread going, here is Funny Pages Vol #3 Issue #1 from 1937 which according to Overstreet has the Bob Kane "Bruce Wayne tryout" story. Curious that CGC did not note it on the label as I thought it would be of some significance to collectors.
Anyway, I'm tempted to crack the slab to see the tryout story. Does anyone know what I may find and if it's worthwhile to check it out...

Picked up a nice All Winners #4 at the NYC Big Apple Con this weekend. One of my favorite Timely War covers...a mid-grade, unrestored copy.
