  1. Hi Gang! Just got back from day one of selling at the Glendale toy show. Tomorrow should be a butt kicker I hope. Only got a few to share today: Probably my favorite Green Hornet comic and while I am at it some premiums.
  2. Hi Howard. Cool books especially the Cap. I didn't know you collected GA. Keep 'em coming. You need to get a "Paul" book for your "name" collection. Are you going to be at the Toy Show tomorrow? Or Terry's the week after?
  3. Yeah, #10 is another big favorite of mine. I even like it better than Myster Mystery #12.
  4. Great run fifties. This is one of my favorite PCH titles. Hey #1 and 2 have Woody covers. I couldn't pick so I just got'em all! My favorite is #13. Totally creepy! #19 gets all the love though. Guess I don't have to post my stuff... LOVE your run, fifties! Congrats on it! I'm about 5 of these issues away from having the same. When I complete it one day, I'll post a group shot as well!
  5. Wow, what a load for a buck each! Good job. It amazes me that they would sell 'em so cheap but I guess their focus is records. I will share some flea market scores with you guys in the future. I got a big pile of lower grade DC 10 centers a couple of weeks ago at one of our local fleas. Part of the fun is getting them cheap like this. I won't tell what I paid because I've seen what happens to people who do over here...
  6. Nice rack Bevis! Good way to see books. Good Luck! I'm sure you will do well. I have the same rack and I take it to flea markets. I usually sell a ton of cheap books. Many for free to kids with their parents. Love that propeller! Is it a old/vintage one?
  7. Awsome pulps. I like that Oct issue a lot too. I had a chance to pick up a huge load of Magic Carpet and Oriental Stories once but passed because I was stupid and didn't know any better. I did get all the horror and crime ones though.
  8. This one floats my boat! Never seen it before. Glad to see you posting again Bang. How about a couple crappy comics?
  9. If I had a few of those I wouldn't let you in my house! Just kidding Richard, you are welcome anytime. That is simply incredible. It's one thing to see the pulp but I think the OA would take my breath away... Was fortunate enough to visit a collector friend who let me gaze upon the St. John's original art for the cover of ERB's At The Earth's Core... ...simply magnificent!
  10. I vote for that Startling!!! (Can't go wrong with most any Schomburg...)
  11. Gore, man gore! The tame ones just don't float my boat. I have what I like in St John. (Annuals, great covers and good artists). But, I see no need anymore to "complete" those titles. ACG, I like the early ones (great covers and art by Williamson ect). The rest just don't jazz me enough. I will make an exception with ACG though. The Clutching Hand one shot is FULL of gore. Very unlike this publisher. Any body have a copy handy to post? Maybe some of the good panels inside? Mine is buried deep... Thanks for showing those, very interesting! I too have the Roly.Poly bleedin' 'ead issue. AFA ACG, I have fairly complete runs of the later issues of Adventures Into The Unknown, and Forbidden Worlds. I would say that each of the '53 and later books all had at least one good story, although generally not on the gore level as The Thing or Mister Mystery. St. John, agreed, pretty antiseptic AFA gore, but they also had some interesting stories.
  12. Last for today are a couple giants/annuals that you don't see often. I love annuals and have a lot of them in all genres. Here are a couple horror ones.
  13. Here is an unusual English book that has content by Atlas and Fawcett. I have a few more somewhere.
  14. Here are two western/horror crossover titles usually overlooked by most horror collectors. Both are pretty good with decent content. Both are published by Youthful just before they changed over to Beware and the like. The surrounding issues are worth a look as well. Not that anyone probably cares but the first one is the Crippen copy...
  15. Hi Guys. I've been wanting to get in on the fun over here for a long time. Pre-code horror is probably my favorite era. Like fifties, I've got pretty complete runs of them. I am missing a few spotty issues mostly Atlas. About the only ones I don't have near full runs of would be ACG and St. John (not lurid enough for me I guess). Since, you have probably seen most of the usual suspects, I thought I might start out with a few more obscure fringe titles. Here are 3 books not really straight horror but very horror related. They pre-date the onslaught of horror books of the 1950's.
  16. Last but not least a few giant/annuals that you don't see everyday...
  17. An unusual English horror book that has pre-code Atlas and Fawcett contents:
  18. Here are a couple of cool western/horror crossovers with horror covers and stories: As if any one cares the is the Crippen copy...
  19. Hey Kids! Comics! Today, I will feature some more obscure horror type comics. Not the usual stuff but some more "fringe" areas of the genre.
  20. Wow, Gary, you are perceptive. I had a card by it's self and then I got the kit. The group picture is a lot older. I don't think I had the kit then. So, I might have two cards... Oh Oh, here come the PM's...
  21. I love that one Marty! I always refer to it as an Action #1 homage. I know you paid a whole lot less for your copy than I did!
  22. And, along the same lines, here is the Green Lama "Escapo" Membership Kit from the comic books. I love the WWII vibe. Only thing missing is the mailing envelope. Unfortuanately, there was never a button or badge...

  24. Here are some Double Detective pulps. These all feature the Green Lama before he was in comics. There aren't many Green Lama issues if memory serves me well.
