Well, I finally joined the "Paul" club. Here's one of the 3 Paul books I got at the Yorba Linda show this weekend...Ciorac will probably like this one. I mean, what's not to like about a VF SS92:
Yeah, Jim showed me that copy but I already had one just about as nice. Glad you got it. I got a couple war bond Dells, a couple Baker cover Northwest Mounties and Authentic Police Cases and a few more. He's got another pile he has been holding back. Probably the nicest Supe #32 I have ever seen. ("It Tickles" cover). I hadn't seen a lot of the humor books. He got to those before me and bought them all. Not superhero but still some cool stuff. Good to finally meet you Brian. You are a crazy guy!

here's a couple to tide Mitch over...
Love the "Hell of a Woman" Pat. Kind of like an adult Farmer's Daughter comic.
I'll post some for you guys when I get the chance.
I half expected the old broad to have her leg stuck out too!
That's a "twofer" I think I'd pass on...

Good to see you at Terry's show yesterday Steve. Yeah, I saw Harley's Church copy. If only I was as rich as all you guys...

That is sooo cool Bill! I love the coloring. I don't have much art but years ago I picked up a cool daily with Popeye and Olive Oyl on annother planet.

Now for a change of pace.
This is the complete run of Tales of Danger and Daring.
Tales of Danger and Daring (March 1929)
Cool pulp Bang! I've never seen any of this title. I like this one best. Are you printing these in your basement???

Trying again with Master 51.
VERY cool book and a beautiful copy. I've only got a few McRaboy Masters but I think I want more now!

Richard Kyle moved south to Long Beach, CA, probably in the early 1960's, and opened a great paperback and new comics store. I never saw so many sci-fi paperbacks in one place before, but they were his passion more than comics. We always had interesting conversations.
Yeah, he was great guy. Taught me a whole lot about GA comics. Even though he sold no back issues, it was my favorite comic store. Do you remember the long wall of framed Jack Kirby original pages and covers? I think it was $100. For a page and $150. For a cover. I think he and Jack were friends. If I only new then what I know now... He is pretty old but still around. I saw him at SD a few years back. Did you know John Versyl? He had a great little shop up in Alhambra with lots of old comics before he moved to Texas.

thanks for sharing Robot Man, would love to get my hands on the EC pin to go with my EC kit
I've had a few extras over the years but not now. Check Ted Hakes auctions. He has had them from time to time. Not easy to find because they broke and got lost easliy. I will keep you in mind if I ever find another one...

I don't know if these have been posted before but I had 'em in the bucket...First up is Super Mystery. It seems to get over shadowed by Four Favorites a bit. But there are many great covers on these as well. I am down to only one or two more to get all the ones I want. Not high grade, but I don't care a bit.
Have a Cigar! Golden Age only....!

Yeah, the best kept secret in comics for a while. That is some collection. The original buyer sold a lot on ebay so there are a lot floating around out there. I posted a bunch of them in this thread when I first came on. I've got a lot more. Not necessarily "splashy" books but a lot of real cool obscure stuff. I was pretty obscessed for a while when they were first coming out.
