No creases or dings that I see. NM+ Man of Steel 18: Newsstand copy. One non-color-breaking spine crease on front cover just above the bottom staple. I still consider this a NM+, but you can call it NM if you want. Man of Steel 18: Newsstand copy. I see nothing wrong with this copy. NM+. Man of Steel 18: Newsstand copy. There's the tiniest bend/fold up in the very top right corner of the front cover. I can't tell if it breaks color. Gorgeous copy otherwise. NM+. Man of Steel 19: Seems to be a wrinkle on the back cover. Not really a wrinkle...more of an indentation line. NM+. Man of Steel 19: The lower spine corner of the front cover has some color missing. Doesn't seem to be a bindery tear. Color fleck? NM+. Superman 75: Looks like a spine tic/crease just at the doorway on the front cover, and another about halfway between the staples. Neither break color. There's also a dot-like indentation on the back cover. Not a mark, just a tiny indentation. Let's err on the side of caution and call it NM (although it looks NM+).

Here's what I have: Avengers 263 Fantastic Four 286 (x2) X-Factor 1-8, 10-15 Most issues are NM (some might warrant a NM+). But let's take a closer look at the key issues. Issue 5 looks sharp but does have a few spine tics, but still NM- (maybe a NM). Issue 6 is VF with a few tics on the spine, a bit of color breaking, and that tear out of the bottom right front corner. That's 16 issues, so let's go $25 plus shipping ($20 if you use Friends/Family). I prefer shipping Priority, but I'll ship Media Mail if you request it.

I've been thinking about signatures again, so I thought I'd resurrect this old thread... It seems like it's becoming more difficult to find graded books that aren't signed. At least for Adam Hughes books. That's not exactly true, but sometimes you do a quick search on eBay and it looks like more than half the graded books are signed. I know "buy what you like" is a common refrain here, but taking that out of the equation for a moment...if signatures are so easy to come by these days, does that not bring down the perceived value of the signature? Sure, Hughes charges for his now, which is factored into the seller's price, but when there are more and more SS books by a creator, it seems to take the cool/special/unique factor out of the whole thing.

Any guesses as to what a 9.8 copy of the Death/Thor comic might sell for out the gates? I've been getting into Hughes again more and more, but it's already feeling like this one will start out out of reach for me.

Brian sent me a CGC graded Adam Hughes comic. Holy smokes was it well packaged. I'd definitely buy from him again!

What about Saga #1? Anyone interested in a copy? It's a raw copy. I consider it NM+, but it's crazy nice. Might warrant a 9.8 if grading is your thing (and I know it is). Here's what I see: Bindary tear top and bottom. I believe that's pretty common with this issue. There's one little wrinkle on the front cover spine between the staples. I'm not sure what else to call it. It's not a crease, or even a spine tic. The spine is perfectly smooth everywhere but right there. But I've seen far worse in CGC 9.8 comics. The discoloration or smudging you see on the back cover near the spine aren't visible on the comic itself. I have no idea what that is...a shadow from the scanning, I suppose. I'm willing to part with this for $180 plus shipping.
