apparently every episode of Fett has to have a WTF moment in there, be it cyber teens, vespa slo mo chases, tusken fireside dancing or droid hijinks in the kitchen. I'm just trying to go with the flow and enjoy it for what it is. it's hard cause Mandalorian set the bar so high, the production value really felt like a big budget movie. this feels almost like if CW decided to try their hand at Star Wars. I halfway expect them to start making woke versions of major characters, ala CW.

There was some movement before Falcon and Winter Soldier, where the rumor was he was going to appear in the show. It's softened a bit, but this book still sells. I rountinely sell NM+ copies for $40+ on ebay, easy. I still have dozens of copies left. They always seems to pop up when I buy collections and flea markets.

Ep. 4 definitely better than 3. I'd give it a B. Cautiously optimistic.

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!
Lpgk replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I am hoping they bring back that badass Tusken. I heard that was a female, but I never occurred to me. I was secretly hoping it becomes A Sharadd Hett, but we'll see. I hope Filini keeping that one in his back pocket for a payoff in the future. -

Yes no brainer. I always pickup 655 when I see them on the cheap. I don't even like bratty Robin but I have to admit he's popular. -
Copper's Heating/Selling Well on Ebay
Lpgk replied to fastballspecial's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
possibly, a lot of it may go up. I don't know about you but I can't be hoarding boxes of drek in the hopes that Rintrah/Harrow/evil Dr. Strange/ etc climbs out of the dollar boxes. A few years ago, I bought a large lot of over 50 short boxes, mostly stuff from 2000 and on. I picked out what I wanted, tried to gaze far out into the future for possible spec opportunities. I kept about 15 boxes and sold over 35 of the shorts. Do I regret it? No, I can't be holding onto 35 short boxes. Better to make a few dollars to recoup my cost and move on. -
Disney+'s MOON KNIGHT series starring Oscar Isaac (2022)

I have a feeling he might have more than one suit, or it evolves. We'll see. -
I would think they would ding you harder on the tears to the spine, front and back. Just IMHO
-
6.0. tears to front and back will bring it down. nice copy otherwise though.if you are planning to sell it down the line, I wouldn't grade it. let the buyer make their own determination, they probably think it's higher.

God, I hope not. I don't want any of these Disney+ shows to tie in with any of the sequels, including Han Solo. I'm enjoying it for what they are, homages to the original trilogy. I am ok with incorporating EU stuff, but I don't want any whiff of the Disney movies.

I thought that was odd too. For a feared assassin, I'm pretty sure they don't just run off into the woods like a b*&ch. I would have just cut the scene and don't show him exiting. I can't even begin to tell how many odd and puzzling things are in this episode.

Maybe the character had an epiphany. They show numerous flashbacks to when he was a kid, following his Dad around. Jango was a bounty hunter and look where that got him. Beheaded in an arena full of bugs and no one remembers or cares. Likewise, after a lifetime of being a bad bounty hunter, Boba nearly dies in ignominy in the Sarlacc. Is it too hard to believe maybe he's asking himself where his life is going? Especially after being saved by Tuskens, he might think he's getting a second lease on life.

It can't be the writing since I believe all are written by Favreau and that includes Episode 2, which to me was great (not directed by RR).

For the love of God, please do not allow Robert Rodriguez anywhere near SW or MCU, for that matter. The best episode was #2 and that wasn't directed by RR.

Episode 3 was so cringeworthy. Granted, it was cool to see Danny Trejo and the kid rancor, but souped teens on space mopeds? Boba being punked out and having to be saved by the Happy Days gang? Not to mention the slowest chase scene I have ever seen. And drawn out far too long.

Multiple sites are confirming that Norman reedus is signed to play GR. That’s a perfect casting right there.

Which key issues that are currently undervalued in your opinion?

well i think no matter what, we can both agree that turning down 12 large for a D list character is not a wise move -

you're right it was Dane Whitman, but I think we can safely assume he's BK in the future. -

Lpgk replied to blahposh's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Well he already appeared in Eternals, so it's already happened. That being said, I'm not high on BK. He's never been anything in the comics and the only thing I remember him for is his forgettable role as Avengers lead in the 90s. -

I think MS5 might be more expensive than GSX, which if you told me this a few years I wouldn't have believed. But as someone who's bought raw and tried to slab them, trying to get anything past an 8.0 is extremely tough. That black cover is murder to get high grades on. I've heard the rumors that maybe Keanu might be in the running for being cast, but it seems Reedus is campaigning to play the role. Reedus would be obvious choice, let's hope it happens! -

Lpgk replied to blahposh's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
I've always bought GSX over X94 as I feel it goes up faster since GSX has the cover appeal. I would probably add Spotlight 5. This book has been stealth hot for several years. There's a rumor going around that Norman Reedus is the frontrunner to take on GR. This book will go nuclear just on this casting announcement alone, much less a trailer. -

If anyone offered me 5 digits for this book on a private, fee-less transaction, much less $12.5K, I would jump at the chance and laugh all the way to the bank. $12.5K can buy you a low grade marvel key like Iron Man, Thor or FF. No brainer to move into something that will have long lasting appeal, than a D list character from DC. I think at best, there is one more WW movie left and given how they botched the second one, who knows they'll do. Even if Nubia appears she might only be one of the background characters at best. A good way to tell what DC thinks about her, is she hasn't been used in the comics for quite some time, in any fashion. That being said, I wish you luck. Perhaps years from now, we'll look back at this post and see if you were right.
