  1. This character is single, young, female, trying to find herself career wise and somewhat cynical. This is clearly not the demographic for the typical MCU fan so far. And apparently judging from the venom here, clearly disconnected with many people here on the boards.
  2. It's going to be you and me against the rest of the board here, Hector. I liked this way more than I thought I would, just like Ms. Marvel. I never liked Byrne's run or any of Kamala's series, but I liked both shows. Go figure.
  3. This show is clearly not aimed towards the traditional comic book audience and definitely not to most of the boardies here. It's geared towards a demographic that hasn't been served yet by the MCU; what that is I'm not sure. I did find it mostly enjoyable and there were several funny moments. I'd give it a B. I'm guessing that won't be a popular opinion here, but I also like Ms. Marvel. Actually, I liked all of Phase 4 Disney+ shows except for the ending of Wandavision, and I absolutely hate Kathryn Hahn/ Agatha. For the most part, they're all wins.
  4. I use the time working out on cardio machines to catch up on shows.
  5. I would say the book looks pretty good without close inspection, at first glance an easy 8.0. But they're going to take a point off for the front crease and then another point for the stain....maybe more. so at best 6.0.
  6. I'm going to include the standard social media Facebook/ IG/ Whatnot hype line.... "book could use a good press/clean". LOL
  7. I don't think the gender/nationality should be as important as whether or not these actors embody the character. I think these two did a great job. And the only casting choice I thought was off was Lucifer. I would have liked someone that was clearly arrogant, disconnected, yet utterly frightening. My ideal choice would have been Christian Bale.
  8. That's pretty depressing when you consider the cumulative decline from January. Ugh
  9. I personally wouldn't deal for a purple label book but considering you won't get fair trade with any dealer, it sounds about right. As long as you're happy.
  10. Just a warning I double box slabs in Priority Mail boxes and have had several damaged over the years. It won't protect you if they drop the box on a corner.
  11. Take a look at Comic Tom's mystery boxes and tell me that's not a scam.
  12. some of these influencers use females to entice views, they don't even have to be attractive (like nerdy). for some reason, it tends to get views and I'm guessing the viewers stick around. i don't watch or follow any of these clowns, so it doesn't apply to me.
  13. this is like giving a chimp a machine gun. and having the world see it happen live.
  14. I loved this movie and probably watched it dozens of times. It's something good to play in the background or when at the gym. Just turn off your mind and go with it. I remember when this movie came out, it was criminally under promoted. It was barely in the theaters and regret not seeing this in big screen 3D.
  15. well I'm going into this with an open mind. I saw a few trailers and a couple TV spots. Maybe pass judgement after seeing an episode or two. I tried like hell to like Y The Last Man and gave up one episode before the end.
  16. at best 9.0. they're gonna hammer you for the rubs
  17. It's supposed to be a legal comedy, probably based loosely on Byrne's run. She Hulk has never been a serious character. I don't know why people want this show to be something it's not. Not every Disney show is a straight up action comic film.
  18. 5.5. long front crease, back stain. they'll hammer this book
  19. I really liked the first two seasons and watched them in a couple of weeks. However, this third season just doesn't do it for me. I can't even bring myself to watch the new eps as they come out. The kid Colin Robinson just doesn't do it for me. Among other storylines....
  20. This was my first time and was a good exercise in seeing how accurate I am. I ended up in the bottom third, but I don't have a lot of experience with GA and early SA, so I took big hits on those. However, I did ok with the rest and my last round really shined, 3 out of 5 bullseyes. I like to think I am conservative when I grade. If I can tend to undergrade raw books, I'll get a bump when I actually send them in. That being said, I got 6 bulleyes over the contest. Of the remaining books, 6 of 14 were undergraded, 8 of the 14 were overgraded. Enjoyed the contest and looking forward to next years! Thanks CGC Mike!
  21. Out of the hundreds of posts about this topic, Skow pretty much sums up how I feel the best. Besides my hate for the influencers and their greed in this fiasco.
  22. Of course he has to defends his fellow influencers. LOL
