  1. Look at Stephen King. How many times did he try to write/direct/ adapt his own works. Sometimes, it's better to let an expert take over.
  2. Remember Warner/ DC is the same company that had to end Swamp Thing early, because they forgot to file for tax credits in Georgia. I can't make this up. And the show was great up to that point. They're apparently not good at making movies, nor managing the movie business.
  3. No significant flaws other than what is posted in the pics.
  4. seller grades tight. i give it a 4.0. would be much higher if not for the corner tear and big back crease
  5. If he's serious about getting this done, I would give it up to a seasoned director. If I'm a financier, you expect me to give up $100M to a first time director? Who bets the house on a rookie QB who didn't play a lick of college ball. I doubt that McFarlane is using his own cash. Comics and toys are different animals when it comes to funding Hollywood blockbusters. That being said, I love how he keeps teasing people on developments on it. Keeps it in people's minds. Spawn is actually a hot property and their back issues are quietly doing well in value.
  6. Have to concur with Capra. I have almost no faith in anything outside of Black Adam, and that's because I am extremely partial to the character and basically anything Dwayne Johnson touches turns to gold. I can't remember many of his flops and considering it took him years to get this project off the ground, I can't see him letting this flop. Even the worst MCU offering (ie. Eternals) still made some money. On the other hand, DC seems to have no clue what they're doing. Besides their Adam, their next big movie is Flash.... and they may have to recast the guy after one movie. Unbelievable.
  7. I put the ASM at 8.0. I would buy that book at a 7.0 all day. 7 points here. First time participant.
  8. has anyone here seen the trailer? wondering what MODOK looks like.
  9. I am thinking more along the lines of different avengers teams, a la Avengers Forever series. That was a great story!
  10. Is anyone else out there disappointed that the post credits scene for Thor was the Hercules reveal? That was so underwhelming and the actor just looks tiny. That plus Hercules sucks. They should've teased Ares. Especially since we all knew Thunderbolts was coming.
  11. I have a ton of 84 secret wars stuff, but I am thinking the story will pull from Hickman's run. You may see some iconic scenes taken from the 84 series, but it won't be based on it.
  12. No Beyonder at all. He is going to be in Moon Girl, described as a mischievous type character. Really, the 80s outdated Beyonder can't fit in the MCU. If you include Beyonder, then what does that make Galactus?
  13. Thought the trailer nailed it. It gave us just enough to whet our appetite, but didn't really give away anything. Also, the music was great, Kendrick FTW
  14. What if the next 4-5 movies all tease or cameo Doom and the payoff is Secret Wars part 1 and 2?
  15. the finale really did stick the landing. i'll admit it was kinda slow for most of the episodes, but the stylishness, actor's genuine charisma and humor was all a pleasant surprise. i don't have any attachment to these new Phase 4 heroes like America Chavez or Kamala, but this was far far better than America. You can tell the actress loves the source material and she's just a better actress, period. And for a show that didn't even have a real villain or threat, it was pretty interesting to watch. B+
