  1. Understood, I've had to do that as well. Sometimes they'll be a garage sale or flea market and a larger deal just happened. About 5 years ago, I went to an outdoor flea market and this guy had about 10 long boxes. I picked out most of the keys which included Hulk 181, GSX 1, Xmen 94, ASM 252, etc. We negotiated a price and told him I would be right back to go to the ATM. The guy was showing his wife the comics saying he hates to see them go. I had a bad feeling so I jetted over there and hurried back with the quickness. Luckily, he kept to his word, but I'm sure some boardies have stories where the seller either changed their minds or "sold it to someone else". So I make it a point to load up when I go out to look at comics. Funny thing, I ran into the same guy recently and he still had the same 10 boxes. I went back and bought the rest of the keys I didn't buy before... Xmen 101, Xmen 266, SW8, etc. 5 years later the things I left behind blew up and I negotiated a price agian. However, I didn't bring enough cash this time either. Luckily we already had a relationship so we were cool and I just came back after going to the bank.
  2. rookie mistake. always bring sufficient amounts of cash. if you agree on a price and you have to go to the bank, many times they'll have cold feet, talk to the wife, etc. and back out of the deal. close the deal right then and there and haul off the stuff.
  3. i think his exact words were I'm doing Dr. Doom, as in, I'm in the movie. Doesn't mean he is Dr Doom
  4. also, any idea what a HISS engineer is? I'm assuming a recolor or head swap of the HISS driver. Hope Hasbro proves me wrong.
  5. can a figure fit in the turret? that was my favorite feature besides taking the turret out and stashing another figure inside.
  6. I liked Private Parts, the movie. but cmon he can't even play himself. He sucks as an actor.
  7. Completely agree. Why doesn't Feige just fess up and admit he screwed up. Recast Taskmaster or never refer to it again.
  8. I must be one of the few that has never saw the original nor the sequel. And still has no desire to see either one.
  9. No Beyonder. It will be Doom who somehow does a power grab and becomes God Doom, which leads into him being the big bad of Phase 5.
  10. Some of these are valid points. But nonetheless, this show, even with some shortcomings, is miles better than any of the sequels that Disney produced. So I chose to immerse myself when watching, found it enjoyable and reminscent of what Lucas was doing.
  11. Agreed. apparently you can stab someone cleanly with a lightsaber and one episode later they are walking around like they only had heartburn, ie. Grand Inquisitor and Reva.
  12. I generally do this as well, since I don't expect MM to be as satisfying as Obi Wan. However, this time I had to watch Obi Wan first.
  13. Well this is the perfect way for them to acknowledge the Foxverse but yet give them the opportunity to start over. They can even pick and choose who they want to bring over or reboot.
  14. I just got back into comics when the 2015 crossover was happening. Since it was a huge crossover with a lot of unneccessary tie ins, it just put me off as it made no sense to a new reader. Also, I got the impression 95% of it was meaningless and would have no lasting ramifications or be referred to in the future. If you read Hickman's Avengers run up to SW and the Secret Wars series itself, it's pretty good. Just to be safe, I'm banking on the original Shooter Secret Wars and the Hickman series. I'm thinking the Hickman series makes more sense with incursions, but I could see a huge all out battle which would reflect the Shooter series. Both are too good not to incorporate into movies.
