  1. That’s right folks, free!  Or best offer.  I don’t want the two items I’m listing, I don’t want to ship them, and they didn’t cost me anything originally.

So…pick up only at C2E2.  I will be at the show all three days, so Friday, Saturday, or Sunday is fine, just let me know which.

Item(s) must be claimed for me to reserve them for you, otherwise they’ll be made available for free to all show goers.  Feel free to claim both if so desired, I’m just listing separately for those who might want only one of the items.

    Both items are brand new.

No returns obviously, I’m giving these away.  :highfive:

  2. General turned gladiator, where have we seen that before?  Sounds like this will suffer the standard sequel trap of being too much like the original, should ascend straight to the pantheon of sequels no one asked for or wanted to see.

However...my opinion will quickly change if Denzel isn't actually in the movie and is instead just doing the voice for the dog with the shifty eyes.

  3. Incredible Hulk 340 in SS 9.8 with white pages!  Signed by the other guy who did the art, Bob Wiacek, on 9/9/2023.

Caveat - this book won't be available until C2E2 as it is still with my facilitator.  Ergo, no payment is due until I have it in hand and ensure the slab is defect free.  And that my facilitator isn't just screwing with me and the book really got a 5.5.  lol.  But since I got the scans from the look-up tool, pretty confident

Price action on 9.8s is consistently near $1,000, with McFarlane SS copies easily breaking the 4 figure barrier.  For this one I ask $925 shipped (USPS insured priority), $900 if picked up in person at the show.

I would agree if you're talking about books from (lets say) 1990 to present...then that theory is probable (but without any proof one way or another).

I highly doubt that we will suddenly see an influx of GSX1 9.9 in the near future.  I will even bet we won't see another single one pop up in 9.9 at all.  That's my counter argument to the video.  CGC would lose all credibility if that happens and this whole comic book collecting/grading thing would be a total joke.

***But again, if another one pops up I'll gladly admit I'm wrong

Honestly, I do hope you’re right.

So he thinks CGC is purposefully giving a 9.8 book a 9.9 to make more money by hyping up the prescreening option.

I think he's coming up with conspiracy theories to get more YouTube views.

***A year from now if we see an influx of GSX1 graded 9.9 I'll come back and apologize and admit he's right

It’s not an outlandish theory.  9.9s are so rare right now that you have to wonder why anyone would pay for a 9.9 pre-screen when a book in that class is likely to be a 9.8 anyway.  But if the 9.9s suddenly see a sizable uptick, driving 9.8 prices down…

I was hoping the Blackstone acquisition wouldn’t lead to money grabs like this, but here we are.  Glad I cashed in all my mints long ago.

  6. Up for sale here are 200 CGC sized storage bags from clearbags.com.  Unused and unopened, two packs of 100 each.  I've been using these for all my slabs for well over a decade.  The adhesive holds up extremely well even after multiple sealings and re-openings, or just skip all that and use your own scotch tape instead.

These normally retail for $20/apiece before volume pricing kicks in at 1000, and that's before shipping.  Have a look:  Buy Crystal Clear Protective Closure 8.5x14 Size Sleeves | ClearBags

I'm selling these for $35 shipped.

Payment via PayPal is preferred, paper instruments and Zelle also accepted.

    No returns on these.

No sales to anyone on the official lists or my own personal list.

  7. Spoiler

Let's keep the good times rolling!

Next up is a lot of some great reading material: Uncanny X-Men 200 - 211, all 12 books included.

Conditions range from "YIkes!" (207) to "Hey, this guy looks alright." (multiple issues).  Or for you number types, 2.0 to around 9.0.  No lurking 9.8s in here, read these!

Let's start at $45 shipped (these will go priority flat rate due to weight).

Yeah for good or bad, my understanding is they were "Afraid" of Mike and his associates.  I think they were still hoping to get back the book and or books and didn't want to p i s s him off.  Every email I got from them said, "I created this email because Mike knows my email address!" or smilar.  Eventually I directly asked them why do they care if he has their email?  So basicaly they didn't want him knowing - whatever.  I'd say if anyone has there doubts, DM them and hear what they have to say.    Here's a snippet:

"Better we communicate here since it's my real email.

Anyway, I'm also posting on all social media to try to get others.

You can reply here from now on.

    Talk to you soon

Randy"   I mean, I don't know but sounded harmless enough.

I’d like to know what exactly they’re afraid of.  Mike sure comes across as unhinged, but as far as I know, he has no documented history of physically attacking or threatening harm to anyone simply asking for their property back.  And as for getting said property back, there’s documented stories in here of victims disclosing their full history of dealing with Mike and subsequently getting their books back.

Again, this secret squirrel cover just feels like a long con playing out.
