@James J Johnson - I know you’re of the opinion that no civilian anywhere can competently defend themself, and that’s cool. You can be a patsy if you like. The front windows can be secured by a few strategically placed busted out display cases filled with broken glass. Two people with solid fundamentals in the use of a 12 gauge can accomplish the rest.

Recent action has this book crossing the $400 threshold in 9.8. But since I get to keep my 10% that eBay or ComicLink would normally take, let's call this guy -- $370 shipped.

The pictures will tell a pretty good story of the overall condition, but there are two notes of significance (these should be visible in the pics too): - Someone, for some unknown reason, added an extra staple mid-spine. I can't fathom why as the spine is still structurally solid and attached - There is a piece of tape on the interior of the front cover along the outer edge. This appears to have been done to reinforce a few minor tears. The general consensus on this one from the thread I bought it from was 3.0 - 4.0, and I'm leaning more toward 3.0 - 3.5 due to the above. Poking around the web, blue label 3.5s don't seem to have any trouble clearing $200 these days, while the 3.0s are creeping up on that threshold. So let's split the difference, call my book a 3.25, substract out a value tier grading and some associated fees, and come up with an ask of... $160

I’m aware. But Chicago-ly speaking, dismissals are already up 10% overall, about 100 out of thousands were arrested, 24 cases are pending = CPD knows the score. And they aren’t wasting their time or risking their safety. Just look at what it took to get a certain sommelier (re)charged. It’s a sad state of affairs.
