  1. This is one I sat on for a while because I was pretty sure I was going to end up dealing with a chargeback or some other type of follow-up shenanigans, but the time limit for all of that should be passed by now. So a quick synopsis - back in July of 2019, I sold my FOOM 2 SS 9.8 to forevergirl918. Some time around when I received payment, I got the initial message you'll see in the first pic. It was a bit odd, but we're all a bit odd. I sent the book by USPS registered mail, and during transit we exchanged a couple cordial messages because the shipping took longer than the estimated arrival (no pics of these posted, though I do have them). No issues up to this point. But things went sideways when the buyer got the book in hand as you'll see in pics 2-5. The final two pics are the listing photos from the eBay listing. Ultimately, he did leave me the promised positive (his feedback record is still pretty sterling to this day), and the situation ended with the book in his hand and the sale money in my hand. I won't speculate on if there were any ulterior motives involved in this whole thing, but I never did receive copies of the unboxing video or photos of any claimed damage. Seeing as how a 4 figure transaction nearly blew up on me, I went ahead and blocked him, and I wanted to put this experience out there for you all to make you're own determination. I can also point to this particular incident being my final straw with selling anything of value on eBay.
  2. All I’m left wondering is one thing - @Shoomanfoo, was it worth trashing your reputation forever in exchange for $500?
  3. Don’t forget autocorrect mishaps too. A few poorly placed finger strikes, and your text convo about a “pending sale” suddenly takes an unexpected turn to “pen15 date”.
  4. 16 months later, I’m changing my answer to Rise of Skywalker. Dark Tower at least had a Plan Nine from Outer Space kind of charm to it; ROS is just infuriatingly awful.
  5. Meet Mr. Carnage. He's like Venom, only redder, meaner, and psycho-er. Necessities first: Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check/money order/Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance. Payment due within 10 business days. Shipping (domestic): Book will be shipped via insured USPS priority mail. International Shipping - exact cost, minus the US shipping cost. Please inquire first for an accurate quote. Returns: No returns on CGC books as you know what you're getting. On the HoS? Probation list? Or I simply don't like you (aka on my ignore list)? Don't bother. Can provide board references if needed (no name dropping here), and over 1700 positive eBay feedback as well -- https://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=792mn. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First wins the book outright, well reasoned offers always welcome. Onward! Much like all things Venom, prices are making significant moves higher on various things Carnage as well. Blue labels of this book are going in the high $5s to low $6s, and I see a custom labeled, Bagley signed, direct edition 9.8 went for $900 () on eBay just last week. I've decided to take a 0.2 step down in grade, so as luck would have it, I now happen to be selling a Bagley signed, direct edition 9.8 (no custom label though). Signature placement is magnificent. Let's call this guy...$725 shipped.
  6. It's Amazing Spider-Man 300, do I really need to say anything else? Necessities first: Payment: In addition to PayPal, I will also accept check/money order/Zelle, though the book will be held until clearance. Payment due within 10 business days. And I've got a fledgling kudos thread started (link is in my profile page). First wins the book outright, well reasoned offers always welcome. Onward! Pricing has been surging higher once again on this modern Spider-Man key, and as we know, these surges tend to snowball. eBay shows three recent 9.4 blue label directs selling for $800+, while ComicLink shows one selling at $950 But me? I just want to come out ahead in a relatively fair manner, so let's call this book $750 shipped (!!!). Grab it before the snowball gains some more downhill momentum!
  7. Did you happen to buy these from dylanauctions? He's been setting a new precedent for bizarre lately.
  8. Better off posting this in “hey buddy can you spare a grade?” And post a number of photos that encompass the entire book, front and back.

Action on 9.8 copies of the VoB 1st print has crossed $300 in recent times, but taking out shakedown fees, let's call this guy $300 shipped.
  10. Just a little extra something to keep in mind that I found with some more digging -- https://www.ebay.com/itm/X-MEN-12-CGC-SS-5-0-STAN-LEE-SIGNED-Origin-and-first-appearance-of-Juggernaut-/114286721112?hash=item1a9c04f858%3Ag%3AwYEAAOSwnMJe~eoK&nma=true&si=w5quCLgfCxf4pByXSbEvfeppGDg%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 My price is a few C notes lower, and my book has better signature placement
  11. What if Juggernaut's real name was Marc Kano instead of Cain Marko? He could've been double credited as the Juggernaut and the inspiration for a Mortal Kombat character. What could've been... Blue label 5.0s are selling lately in the low to high $500 range. Factor in Stan's signature...census shows 230 yellow labels...a little under a hundred of which are sub-5.0...plus how many of those 230 are CPR duplicates...we arrive at... $800 shipped.
  12. 'Cause its an EXCEPTIONAL 4.0 Like I said - Currently Verifying Anything
  13. I'm hoping that we'll one day see stickers from both Currently Verifying Anything and Quiero Enchiladas Suizas on the same slab. Because why waste only $30, when you can waste $60 instead?
  14. As do I, especially when placing bids from my phone. Much easier to just hit the little button that says "Bid $x".
  15. In this case, it’s easy money over integrity. Dylan clearly does enough business with CGC that he could take a few minutes to look over his plethora slabs to bring his grading more into alignment with industry standards. But it’s quicker, and likely more profitable, to deceive customers with overinflated grades and hope they don’t notice.
  16. It is a 5.0. If you’re grading on a scale from 0.5 - 100 that is.
  17. It reads like a solicitation from a deposed Nigerian prince, only with proper spelling.
  18. This is awesome, have you been taking doxycycline by chance?
