  1. Although when you think about it, if the guy had actually paid, but not immediately, there should be a “Payment not as described” feature for sellers. Seller gets to keep payment and the item. Take that deadbeats!
  2. “Immediately” is one of those terms open to broad interpretation: - I’ll pay when January immediately gets here. - Immediate payment will be sent as soon as I get a job. - I will pay immediately, pending the check my cat wrote clearing my bank. And so on.
  3. Were these only two books you've gotten back so far? Errors aside, a 9.8 and 9.6 on a first ever submission is a win in my book
  4. Either way, it’s unimaginatively lame. The entire GFFA revolves around 2 families apparently.
  5. Definitely where Abrams excels, the scene in TFA where the X-Wings are first coming in to counterattack at Maz's bar is one of my favorites in all of Star Wars, period. Large reason why I predicted A+ visuals and D- plot for the Sky of Risewalker. Here's a question though - leave the TLJ plot and dialogue as it, but put Abrams in charge of the visuals. Would it make a difference? Highly doubtful. So if IX's plot is equally terrible, or another heavy derivative, I don't think anything will save it. Its certainly going to make its billion-ish dollar box office, but we'll probably be back here complaining about how lame the movie was.
  6. Dude, invite him here! Sounds like top notch entertainment.
  7. There was a thread on this a while back, I seem to recall most everyone yawning over the news. Reading it again though, it seems like this may cut out one avenue for potential buyer fraud. If I read it correctly, eBay itself will be handling the payment aspects, with AdYen as the internal processor. Thereby eliminating the potential for a PayPal chargeback scam. Either way, eBay.
  8. One bump, and then anything left will migrate over to...probably fleeBay, but maybe some to the CLink too. Place your bets, and your offers!
  9. One more bump, and then the readers will head to fleeBay and the other two over to the CLink.
  10. Peloton! Double outrage! And my wife wants one! Furtherance of sexism! Triple outrage! Approaching outrage overload! Gird your servers Twitter, here I come!!!!!!
  11. How dare the two of you be so unwoke! I'm going to Twitter and Instagram and the UN and the post office to express my outrage immediately! People will care that I have absolutely nothing productive to say!!!!!
  12. Maybe she wasn't slamming haters while getting woke?
  13. I just want this to be released so that all of the terrible brand promotion commercials associated to the movie will finally end.
  14. Your mistake is having a 9.8. Always remember Swampnado’s wisdom - 9.2s are best.
  15. In. Just wish they had gone with Bay Area thrash instead, that trailer track was awful. WW84 set to “The New Order”...yessir
  16. The Berkbridge copy also had white pages, so that surely helped it earn a few extra dollars for the “single mothers”.
  17. Surprised Berkbridge still has time to list since they were going to sue everyone for doubting the legitimacy of their “charity”.
  18. The original reasoning behind Carnage made sense (the spawn of Venom). But you’re right that it got WAY out of hand since there’s a symbiote for absolutely everything. “Hi, I’m Bill Carnage, esquire.” But it’s not a surprise either, we are talking about Marvel in 2019. The real tragedy in all this is the poorly dyed mop that they threw on Woody Harrelson’s dome. I just wish @BITCOINSWAMI was here to weigh in... But as I was typing that, we have a new mystery - who is @BITCOINSWAMI2?
  19. 181 prices have clearly cratered if eBay is to be believed...
  20. Guess it depends on what your selling. I had a GA Detective issue in the just concluded CLink auction, and it sold for more there than what I was asking for it on the boards.
  21. Of course its still a crime, and if he gets convicted or pleas out he'll get his sentence. But the book's fate is a matter of restitution to the victims. How that gets sorted out comes down to: - Homeboy attempted to defraud Wake out of the book and the money he was owed for that book. Awake has the money he was owed for the book. It can be argued that he's whole. - Homeboy defrauded eBay out of the money with his return scam. eBay is presently -$4600. - Homeboy currently has the book and the money. Homeboy is presently +$4600 in illicit funds, and the book he attempted to steal. Any halfway decent defense attorney is going to argue that, per the original transaction, Homeboy is entitled to the book if he makes full restitution to eBay since that would make both Awake and eBay whole per the transaction terms. Whether that argument will actually fly is dependent on a number of factors (judge, statutes, etc.).
  22. Based upon my own recent experience, I think FedEx is actively working to become more like USPS (i.e. completely inflexible). A fellow boardie sent me two books via FedEx that I'd claimed from his thread, and it was a four figure outlay, so not insignificant. Like @tth2, I have all of my books sent to the office as someone is usually here M-F, 9-5. FedEx first delivery attempt was on a Saturday. Oops. OK cool, they'll probably try to re-deliver on Tuesday, since Monday was Veteran's Day. Nope, tracking says we'll try again Monday. We're off on Monday, nobody manning the ship that day. Ergh. So like I was used to doing in the past, I call up the tracking number on the website and look to have it diverted to a local hold facility so I can pick it up. Option nowhere to be found. WTF. Oh, but if I sign up on the website, then I get more functions. Rock on, let's do that. OK, at least I can set my re-delivery date. Let's choose Wednesday. And...huh? "This service is only available for residential addresses." Right, because that makes perfect sense. No business ever has needed to reschedule a delivery. Luckily, unlike @MYNAMEISLEGION's situation, my phone call did not go to Bangladesh, and I got very helpful rep here in the US who took care of the reschedule. They even called before and after to confirm the delivery. 5 stars for the phone reps. -47 stars for the rest of the debacle.
