  1. Very good. Hollywood, pay the man his hypothetical $500!
  2. 100 copies of Brigade #1 Gold from @RockMyAmadeus
  3. Far, FAR too much creepy Uncle Palpatine in III.
  4. I gave JJ a pretty sizable pass for the derivation in VII because Star Wars needed to be fun again, and he succeeded there. But if he Into Darkness’ Episode IX, he might as well flat out admit he’s just in it for the paycheck. And if anything, VII made me hate the Lucas prequels even more because they’re SUCH A FREAKING BORE. I mean, I’ve tried rewatching them at times, and I want to start drinking heavily within 10 minutes.
  5. Certainly makes you wonder what kind of father he turned out to be.
  6. Well my original post that you quoted was intended as a joke, but my general attitude towards cryptocons is to buy a little in the midst of a crash, and then wait/hope the true believers will drive it back up to new, or at least previously reached, highs. This week has proven to be a nice time to kick off a new buying cycle.
  7. To complete the record, I had this waiting in my inbox this morning: "Ok, well first off I want to apologize. I overreacted and me backing out of the deal was a move. No excuses for my behavior. The truth is I've been trying to find a Wolverine #1 Campbell deadpool variant for around 1500 bucks. That's what I saved for the purchase so far. I even posted a WTB ad which got no responses. Well at the time I contacted you for your book I was also in contact with a seller on ebay who had just sold that comic in a signature series for 1750. The seller previously sold this comic for 2650 to a non paying bidder and now the current buyer of this comic for 1750 was not paying so he offered it to me for the same price. His offer was sent to me after I contacted you. Since I've wanted this comic forever i bought it, putting myself 250 bucks in the hole. That kinda freaked me out so the first thing i thought to do was cancel with you. Plus that's the most expensive comic I've bought to date. Cant say I had buyers remorse, guess I was just nervous spending that much. I should've just chilled out and realized that i could make both purchases and work overtime to cover it. That's actually what ive been doing this last week is working ot. I saw the post you put on me and I deserve it but just thought I'd let you know my side of the story. I didnt want to respond on there either cause I'm more of a person to person kinda guy. I really don't do chatboards. So anyway, my apologies and I was serious about getting the book but I understand if ur done doing business with me. Ultimately it's my bad." No planned response from my side, it is what it is at this point.
  8. Bringing Palpatine back seems so trite on its own, another re-hash of Palpatine vs Hayden Vader would be beyond unimaginative. The storyline might have worked if both were still lurking on the fringes in VII and VIII, but to trot them out now? 💤
  9. The trailer was just on during the football game, and it reminded me to wonder aloud - what’s the point of evil Rey’s dual saber doing a 180 degree turn? I mean, does it really have any utility in the parallel position? “Hey check this out, my dual saber is shaped like a giant U! It’s like swinging a toaster!”
  10. Hate to say, but I can’t give away any of the run of the mill Wolverine (1988) issues right now. So for now you’re probably stuck with a lot of dead weight with that 45-183 run, though 145 has always been a steady seller.
  11. If they're too cheap to buy anything but squarebound reprints, how can we trust them to write a good -script?
  12. $110!! Of course at this point I have no idea which printing I had, but still, wow.
  13. Wait, there's people out there paying up for Darkthrone CDs???? Making me wish I still had my copies...
  14. That all depends -- 105 minute comic book adaptation, or three movie arc? I think we can all safely say that all things Phoenix mashed up into one movie is not a recipe for success.
  15. Not true, I got there when Fox announced 'We have a new X-men film and it's going to be Dark Phoenix again.'
  16. That's more or less how envision the real pitch meeting went. I look at it this way -- I already know I'd end up in full agreement with the 10 minutes of mockery I've just watched, so I don't see a whole lot of need to subject myself to the full fiasco and sacrifice some free time that I'll never get back.
