  1. Hulk 181 in 9.0, 9.2, and 9.4. Should cost you under $15 grand total.
  2. If they would tack on another zero to the maximum value, maybe I'd buy another 181 today...
  3. 1. What Facebook's market cap has to do with this is anyone's guess. 2. You call someone a troll, and then conclude by engaging in serious trolling behavior. Not a good look. Regardless, having followed your situation, I do applaud your tenacity in getting it resolved. And through this thread, you still have left a warning for others about Paradise's current business practices, so I would disagree that you've left other potential victims in the dark. That being said, perhaps the better approach to your negative Facebook review would've been to post a follow-up to your initial comment with the ultimate resolution of the situation, rather than dangling the outright deleting of the negative review as a carrot for Paradise to get this fixed. Paradise would still have the opportunity to respond to your posts, and those who are on Facebook but not the boards would still see that they may want to use caution when considering Paradise for their facilitation needs. $0.02.
  4. Think about it - Peter put a rush on? So he unilaterally twisted CGC’s arm till they agreed to quick fix his screw up? Or more likely he paid up to Express your books because he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar again?
  5. Call CGC customer service with the invoice numbers. Normally you could just ask the facilitator to check their account for an update, but Paradise is obviously doing everything they can to avoid doing that.
  6. Both show grade date of 1/9/2018. Signed on 7/9/2017. What tier did you submit them under? And were they pressed? Six months between signing and grading seems excessive.
  7. I wouldn't go that far, we've never really gotten a clear answer on if CGC is even in possession of the outstanding books in question, or what the actual magnitude of this problem really is. How many Paradise customers are affected? 10? 100? 250? How many books are multiple months late? How much grading fee money has been paid to Paradise but not found its way to CGC? In any case, the onus is on Paradise to deliver what they promised.
  8. Reprint? Positive feedback? Wah? BEAUTIFUL HULK#181 REPRINT, LOVE THIS SELLER, THANK YOU ! Buyer: s***i ( 0 ) During past month The Incredible Hulk #181 (Nov 1974, Marvel)-ORIGINAL-W/ MARVEL COUPON-HIGH GRADE (#273112683095) US $2,700.00 View Item
  9. "Sorry, we're too busy to respond to customer inquiries at the current time as we're currently in the process of generating customer inquiries."
  10. What do you think you’ll have to do if Paradise goes south before any of this is resolved? Unless CGC has your books, they can’t help you. And even then, you may still end up out of pocket just to get your books back as is, much less graded. And what are they going to do about Paradise? Revoke them as an authorized facilitator? Not much effect if they’re already out of business. The suggestion of everyone who has been wronged by a Paradise combining their notes and acting together is a good one. If say 75 customers approach the police or a civil lawyer with documented proof of say $25,000 in missing merchandise and unfulfilled services, that is going to get attention.
  11. Don't want to harp on you, but that's a pretty lousy e-mail. I see a good chance they just respond with, "please contact Paradise to work this out". I read "last July for San Diego Comic Con", and I personally would think July 2017 to March 2018...with show return times, heavy summer volume, processing, if they were pressed and slow track Modern...yeah its excessive, but maybe possibly might be somewhat explainable. Details details details = better results. Specify the following in any correspondence with CGC: - The actual date(s) books were dropped off with Paradise - Every single book that was dropped off (title, issue number, previously slabbed or not) - Who was supposed to sign them (if they were SS) - What tier they were submitted under - Pressing or no? - The CGC invoice number(s)
  12. Definitely just call CGC then and find out what info they have on your invoice(s).
  13. Sounds a whole heck of a lot like a Ponzi scheme. I would bet if @ComicArtAddict called CGC and asked for a received date on his invoice, it will probably be something like March 25th, 2018. I get the feeling that Paradise is trying to satiate the customers that are repeatedly complaining by finally sending their books to CGC under either the Express or Walkthrough tier. "Ta da, look we sorted it all out with CGC! If we hadn't put the heat on, they wouldn't have sent your books back till 2036! Aren't us Paradisers awesome?" All the while hoping that the remaining customers with idle books who have stayed silent so far will continue to stay silent, and no money (the customers' own money intended for CGC fees mind you) will have to be spent on them.
  14. I couldn't remember why I posted in this thread after it popped back up in my feed, but I see we had a quality discussion regarding some of America's finest brews. And Foster's for some reason. Stop drinking that garbage CAL. Anyway, Dark Lord Day is a few weeks out. I really hope to go again one year, especially since it sounds like they've even done away with the whole farce of standing in line to get your beer.
  15. Happy Wednesday! Please add Star Trek #14 (cert number 1222662012 for reference) to the Star Trek (IDW Complete) set when possible. Thank you!
  16. How can they possibly keep sticking to this line? I have to two trusted facilitators that I submit all my books through, and if I happen to get curious on their status, all it takes is a quick "hey man, can I get the invoice number?" and then a call to CGC customer service to get a real time status. Never once has CGC told me "Sorry Matt, not your account, there will be no information disseminated to you! BWAHAHA!" Paradise seems to know they're in a bad way right now, and they've chosen to run from the truth instead of doing their best to remedy the situation. @ComicArtAddict situation with the invoice number not even being in CGC's system is all sorts of alarming, I really hope everyone affected gets their books returned.
  17. Look at eBay doing work! 15% off this guy:
  18. Aw hell, well I plead four beers for the mix-up. I always think of you as BeachBum.
  19. Third Hulk 181 currently in the collection (highest grade too) and third dog in the house (Sadie). Good week overall.
  20. @BeachBum Someone trying to gain a modicum of credibility and sell junk using a slight variation on your eBay name perhaps?
