  1. Of course they have, but its an ebb and flow thing in terms of mass appeal, and I'm betting a significant ebb is coming.
  2. America certainly developed a strange fascination with zombies and vampire sex right around the same time. For the life of me I could never understand either, but since vampire sex is no longer en vogue, I would be surprised if the zombie thing maintained for much longer. Maybe the problem was no one ever intertwined the two subjects...
  3. Why has no one suggested investing in Comic Coin yet? That $3,000 could probably buy like 6 bazillion of them...
  4. Insured? Get you some re-holder money if you don’t mind dealing with that inconvenience.
  5. Sad but true. Not to give homeboy any more ideas in case he's listening in, but there's probably a certain percentage of eBay users who'd pay $15 for a used McDonald's bag signed "Stan Lee".
  6. What boggles my mind is looking at dude's feedback - eBay users with three and four figures worth of positive feedback are buying this garbage. You'd think experienced buyers would have more sense.
  7. They might actually be real. Stupid, but real. Probably should post a pic of the accompanying COAs he claims to have though. And I wonder what this means -- "ASK ME ABOUT MY STAN LEE AGENDA"
  8. What if he enjoys collecting pharmaceutical stocks?
  9. Working with a 2-5 year timeline, I'd echo the Hulk 181 sentiment. I've bought three since October. 3 stacks should easily get you an 8.5, maaaayyybbeeee a 9.0 if you catch one on a buyer friendly day.
  10. I'm inspired now. I think for my next eBay listing I'll just go with an all spam title... 181 129 CGC 300 1 GS PGX SS 27 31 14 94 (those guys) NM Mint 10.0 9.9 9.8 Stan Lee ...and when all is said and done, I'll be selling a Dr. Strange King Size #1. In 2.0 condition. Victory is mine!
  11. T-84: "How can you tell for sure? The out line sketch is perfectly flawless. And you can only see it clearly when the book is tilted, and there is no ink lines in it. IDK I may be wrong and need to adjust the price but it just seems unusually different." (counter offer of $475) Me: How can I tell? I've been collecting for 28 years. Plenty of non-color breaking flaws are only visible when a book is held to light at a certain angle. I pity anyone who pays you over $2 for this bargain box junk. (counter offer declined)
  12. Also, I offered him a buck and a quarter for it, with a friendly explanation that indents from kid tracings do not equate to rare error variants. With free shipping, he'll be in the red if he accepts. Let's see what the response is...
  13. That is an "I hope some sucker believes that this a rare error when in reality some kid did a tracing of Iron Fist and left an indent in the cover" auction.
  14. Unknown Juggernaut movie hype? Some baffling newfound appreciation for The Last Stand?
  15. "For a long time it’s been rumored that Fox will beat Marvel to the screen with the shape-shifting aliens the Skrulls, and today I received confirmation from a long-time source that they are indeed in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. This may remind comic fans of how Fox quickly replaced Juggernaut in Days of Future Past with Quicksilver to beat Marvel to the screen with that character as well." So Fox is making fairly significant storyline decisions based upon "let's beat Marvel to it!"? There's a recipe for success... This is the first time I'd heard about the Quicksilver in lieu of Juggernaut switch, and while I enjoyed Evan Peters' Quicksilver in DoFP, seems to me the Juggernaut could've been a whole lot of interesting in that movie. But I guess the lousy version that quotes Youtube clips in The Last Stand will have to suffice as our lasting memory of Cain Marko.
  16. Coulda been worse, he could’ve had Andrew Garfield sign it...
  17. So we've already done some significant over Stan Lee signatures on high grade copies of Incredible Hulk 181, but I have to bring this one up: Putting Stan aside -- Why, oh why, oh why, would you get Jim Shooter on this book? Unless the Wikipedia is leading me astray, Shooter wasn't even working for Marvel at the time. But fear not, this one can be yours for the low price of $64,995.00. OBO. 18. So you took a minute or so to read my posts and put up your own response, yet couldn't spare the extra 1.7 seconds or so to type out "fulle" to begin with? Top notch time management.
  19. There you guys go being "heartless money hungry SOB````````s sellers who are rushing to judge" again. Wayne's Comic's would be thoroughly disappointed in you for expecting goods that were purchased to be paid for in a timely manner...
  20. Suckers bet, your proposal doesn't specify where you'll be selling. Once eBay cans your account, you can just move to some other selling platform.
  21. I doubt they keep score on non-paying bidder strikes either. eBay enforcement on buyers is non-existent.
