  1. Warren Buffet once said to be "Fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful." Be fearful folks...
  2. This whole thread is about affordable keys. It sounds like you’re saying if a book is too affordable, it’s not a key... My interpretation of the OP’s question is more about undervaluation than affordability...but I could be wrong. Regardless, checkout comicbookdaily’s “undervalued spotlight” section...great stuff.
  3. Too cool not to share...which is your fav?
  4. This is where I'm at...it's more in the category of doodling than color touch in my opinion.
  5. I used to own his FF48 9.4 White, a fellow boardie is now the fortunate steward.
  6. Nice copy. Presents well and, for this, good PQ. GLWTS.
  7. I get it. Heck, I used to be into coins and have a variety or two...and I even find the known varieties of color strikes, wraps, etc of certain comics interesting because it touches on the history of the books (manufacturing process), and gives one the ability to seek out higher quality issues (or personal preferences) with their acquired knowledge of the hobby. However, butchered moderns just doesn’t do anything for me. To each their own though. I truly mean that...apologizes if my comment rubbed anyone the wrong way.
  8. Take Aquaman 11 & Thor 165 per PM. Thanks.
  9. Why...would someone spend the money to grade that...
  10. Yes, there will be less views because less people want to view CA. Seems logical to me...
  11. @0:49 the ship behind Ned says "ASM 212". Amazing Spiderman #212 was the first appearance of Hydroman.

  13. Folks should be rejoicing. They’re officially coming back home...
  14. To clarify...by "above" I meant what I wrote, not what you wrote.
  15. Some have speculated it’s because actors often build-in minimum screen time requirements into their contracts, and being a CGI hulk doesn’t count towards that requirement...so they were forced to show more “actual” Mark Ruffalo. Personally I think above is BS and it was simply a strategic plot device and we’ll be seeing hulk show himself at a pivotal moment in the next film...
  16. My understanding is CGC does a visual inspection from the exterior of the case and, with admittedly limited knowledge and no guarantees, will give their opinion to the owner prior to cracking the case for grading. When providing their preliminary opinion, they also request approval to proceed. I'm sure if they spotted resto they would disclose that as well... At least, this is how it went for me when I submitted a crossover... All of this said, there are obvious limitations to making an assessment of the exterior of a book through a plastic case...
  17. Thanks for the input. By upgradeable I simply meant a straight resubmit could yield a higher grade, but I did some reading on spine splits in reference to minimum grades and I decided to steer clear...while visually stunning I think this particular book is sitting about where it should. And I figured “medium” had some subjectivity attached to it due to the human element plus CGC’s secrecy, but was hoping someone with more experience than me had noticed correlations between these vague notes and actuals...
  18. Considering buying a potentially upgradeable book with the below notes. There are decent pictures available but surprisingly none of these defects are visible. So my question is, in your experience, what does CGC (or you) define as a “medium” tear/split (ie 1”-2”)? Bottom Front Cover Medium Tear Bottom Spine Medium Spine Split Center Front Cover Medium Lite Crease Breaks Color
