  1. Very nice copy. I believe the thin crease top left back cover is a manufacturing defect so shouldn’t impact grade. My crystal ball says 9.4
  2. Surprised the trench spinoff hasn’t been mentioned. Apparently Wan has agreed to do a low-budget thriller spinoff on the trench, excluding the aquaman cast...
  3. I should have it in-hand in about a week. I stumbled across this from a UK dealer online. It was advertised as a 6.5, but it looks like at least a 7.0 with the chance of being a 7.5 to me. So y’all mostly confirmed that, except for foggynelson! Regardless, it was priced well even for a 6.5. I’m a little concerned about the upper left front cover, where there appears to be some staining? It’s faint, but somethings going on there... Will post more pics when I get it...
  4. Man, I've had a book in for a press and grade since September and it's at received by CGC. I guess it's 3 months at CCS & another 3 at CGC? Painful...
  5. For the love of...turn your caps lock off.
  6. I wish I was more excited about this...I hope I'm pleasantly surprised when it comes out...
  7. Random thought, which I feel is fair game in this thread lol, I wish prototypes got more love...
  8. Perhaps. Best you can do is steer clear and spread the word...with this thread being a big first step.
  9. I don’t get the connection with PGX. What would their motive be? It isn’t damaging CGC’s reputation...someone can crack a slab and use the comic as toilet paper afterwards, and then say it used to be CGC X.X...doesn’t mean it still is... I’m in no way defending this person, or people, btw...just don’t fully understand what you’re implying...
  10. Is it me, or does MCS habitually undergrade? I’m not complaining...
  11. I didn’t criticize the seller, nor did I want to buy at $100 without a coupon, nor did I say “will you take less”, nor did I say “what’s the lowest you’ll go”.... My initial message’s intent was purely a sanity check, it wasn’t that serious... The main point of my post was not my exchange with the seller, but witnessing a seller incrementally hike his prices on a book that already didn’t sell at the lower price before it, which was mentioned a few posts prior to mine...which is why I shared the experience.
  12. I’m grateful to those who do this thankless work. I don’t even look at the rules of a sales thread until right before I’m about to post .
  13. You're way out of line. Only a smidge overpriced...if they dropped it by $599,950 I might be a buyer!!
  14. I remember when this app was in its infancy about, off the cuff, a year ago..? They popped up on the boards asking for feedback and I haven't seen much since... It appears to have firmly taken root. It used to be entirely free, but now has some features that require subscription. I used it recently when thumbing through a title I wasn't up-to-speed on, but outside of that I have no idea... What are your thoughts on the app? What about the "for fee only" features? I'm most curious about "Hot Keys" & "Spec Deck". Is it mainly speculating on moderns? Is it sliced/diced into golden, silver, bronze, etc...? I honestly don't know what those sections provide or how they're structured. Please don't share any of their information, only what it entails and your general impression on value of the service. My intention is not to circumvent their business model... @Key Collector Comics - Please chime in if I'm rubbing you the wrong way and I'll close the thread. In my opinion, all publicity is good publicity. Best case, you get a bump in awareness... Worst case, you get feedback on your app... Either way a win I would think, but hit me up if you want me to take action. C_
  15. I started watching a book about a week ago with an initial buy-it-now of $100. I thought that was probably a good deal but was going to think on it, heck maybe a coupon would push me over the edge. Next time I looked, a couple days later, it was $140 so I messaged the seller asking “am I going crazy or did you increase the price by 40%?” because I was legitimately questioning my memory. He said “go see a doctor LOL”, and I assumed that meant it was always that price and I was losing my mind. A couple days later and it was $210. I messaged “$210?! Now I know you’re just messing with me”, and he replied “thanks”. I didn’t know what to make of his response...or his listing tactics for that matter. Safe to say I’m no longer a watcher...
  16. He stayed at one of your homes over Christmas and signed 120+ things for you? Man, y'all really put him to work...
  17. Thank you for this! I activated last night and started taking it for a spin. I just sent my first batch of books to clink for auction and I have to say, after having unadultered access to their prior sales, I’m more concerned than I was prior to this tool... Usually, outside of this last auction, all you here about is how high the hammer prices are on clink because people constantly post about getting outbid, but looking at the results...it’s def. mixed. I wonder if that’s part of their business model and why they aren’t completely transparent with prices? People talk about high prices more than low... BUT it’s an auction, and I’m not naive enough to think results are guaranteed...committed now. Again, thanks for the free trial. I’m certain you’ll yield some new customers with the gesture...
