  1. Forgive me if posted before, but found this a partner In this..
  2. Post camp-era Okajima's added (yes I've posted on different thread):
  3. Here we go, new obsession. Camp era copy. These aren't just owning a copy of a book, but a one of kind unique copy. In fact, there are only 60 or so known camp era books of any issue title/number, making them rarer, can I dare say, than even Action #1. Bonus, this is highest graded Police #31
  4. I'm going to stark a side betting business on who gets it first! This is more entertaining than the casino!
  5. Actually, I was first. I screamed "I'll take it" within 0.2 seconds of the post, but the speed of sound travels 343 m/s so it won't reach the ears of the seller... until about now.
  6. "The Queen" is back! Cobbled this together after letting go of my 5.5.
  7. I'm more partial to Jumbo inside and out. A cosmic An Okajima
  8. Very moving, shared with the wife and teared up a bit frankly. My connection to golden age comics involved weekly visits to my grandma's house and rifling through my dad's stash in his old room, after which would be a few competitive games of Yatzy and lots of laughs. I certainly wouldn't be collecting now without those visits.
  9. All I buy these days are Okajima, I snagged the #121
  10. The survival rate of comics from the 1938-1940's time frame is more like 0.1% - one tenth of a percent. It probably gets better/higher through time but I don't think any Golden Age books would survive up to a 10% of circulation level.
  11. I sold mine too! I actually prefer #56 which I've held on to.
  12. Terrific accomplishment! Thanks for sharing:)
  13. Very underappreciated Wings, one of best in series imo. A full point to point and point and half above the Torchy and Whiz
  14. Another small grade disappointment (that's a 5.0 not a 6.0 or a 4.5 relative the the Whiz posted earlier) but still respectable GGA book.
  15. Back from GCG, extremely in love with bright colors on gorgeous copy of cool cover. Have to say confused on grade, but I'm no professional... I guess for five bucks I can maybe know.
  16. Each is cool in its own way (13 is one I am missing from mini run). 12 is more WWII specific i.e. my comment, 13 more sci-fi imo. 16 rocks too imo.
