So a carded series 1 straight arm Snake Eyes (AFA graded 85) just sold at Heritage .... for $26,400. 80s Joes seem to be in that nostalgic sweet spot right now for many collectors.

Gil Kane. I still am not wowed by his panel pages, but I am growing to enjoy his covers and splashes.

I will echo others take on Sienkiewicz on New Mutants. As a kid in the 80s, his work was confusing and I had no idea what was going on so I stopped reading it. I did come around, and currently I do like his unique style.

The card market for almost ALL sports stars has simply exploded. Jordan being the biggest explosion. Walter Payton, Elway, Trout etc. I'm a long time Elway fan. I could buy PSA 9 rookie cards of his for under $200 all day long a year ago. Recent sales are around $1,200+. Thousands of examples like this. Unopened card boxes have taken off as well.

Great Sunday! Love the Lucy & Charlie being flipped upside down panel. Are all these Sundays about the same size, or do they vary by era?

Sweet! Nice to see these early covers turn up. Hoping to find a nice Marvel Joe cover someday too.

Sucks nowadays trying to get sa spidey. Sure I am still youngish in my 30s. But curse spidey going up in prices. Even for low grade to get key issues.
I hear you. A CGC 6.0 ASM #9 with Electro just sold at Heritage for $2,040. Prices on low & mid grade key Spideys are really surprising to me especially with how many copies are out there. Wish I still had some of mine.

Finally just got Disney+ a few weeks ago. So, I was able to watch roughly one episode per night and then the season finale. I'll echo some other posters and say this series reinvigorated my love for Star Wars. It was also great to see my young son looking forward to watching this together too.

Yup, 100%! I remember seeing the Dreadnok Assaul sets in the WIsh Book when I was a kid, and thinking they were ugly as sin! Why would I want those ugly- repaints when I could get a brand new vehicle??? Of course, now I'm prepared to pay through the nose to get one of those "ugly-" Dreadnok sets, if I can ever find one!
I hear you about the Sears repaints & repacks. I never had any as a kid or much interest. I did acquire the Sears GI. Joe Vamp & Hal playset maybe 8 years ago. I sold it 5 years ago as I thought the box wasn't in great shape (maybe a 7 out of 10). I thought I'd upgrade some day, but prices have really taken off.

Lots of possibilities I'd like, but I'll go with a large Ditko Spidey vs. The Sinister Six.

I never thought to rank them, but to me the cover is dynamic and action packed, which is what I want in a GIJoe cover (and most covers for that matter). Also, GI Joe covers rarely hit the market. Considering how popular GIJoe was back in the 80's, those kids are now in their 40's. You love to talk about nostalgia driven pricing so this should be a no brainer. High demand, low supply! Plus Zeck has quite a following which adds to the demand.
Well put. The Joe run from #10 - #40 or so is my sweet spot for nostalgia (#10 being the 1st comic I remember pulling off the shelf and buying), so I'd love to get a cover from that era some day.

I see at least 15 other covers, if not more, out of the first 70 issues of the run (I stopped reading it after that) that I'd rather have. Which I guess makes the $21K price even more remarkable.
Funny, I stopped reading around issue 70 myself. This cover has a pretty dynamic battle scene, and I always loved the water moccasin as a kid so this cover has always been one of my personal favorites.

Zeck G.I. Joe #25 cover sold for a solid price of $21,000. I think it's one of the top 5 covers in the series, but it was too far out of my price range to consider bidding.

Looks like you kept your childhood toys in pretty good condition Machx4. Wish I would have kept all my 70s/80s Star Wars & Joes. I only retained about 10% of those toys, but I'm happy to have at least some of them.

Looks like this page sold for $24,200. Pretty decent buy IMO. I know Chewie looks a little wonky, but an impressive page in its entirety.
-
Impressive display of Spider-man toys with the comics. Really cool idea.

Just about everything I was tracking went slightly more to vastly more than my expectations. Thought I might have a chance on the McLeod Marvel Star Wars #86 cover. Went way higher than I thought it would at $34,600.
