  1. Lucky find at my LCS. Priced right so I couldn't resist.
  2. Correction: SOLD FOR $275,000 (2/2014) , not 2004 ... so 2 years. Ouch ! Not seeing that sale on GPA? This sale seems soft but not that much out of line with other sales (sold for a low of $179k in 2014). Census has 8 universal 9.4 and one 9.6. Does anyone know when the 9.6 was graded?
  3. Awesome pickup Oakman! Knew you didn't need mine
  4. Long way from having them all but here's another.
  5. I might be digging a deeper hole but I'll try to justify. From the standpoints of value and rarity CGC 9.8 TMNT 2 and Star Wars 107 got the three discards beat. Plus neither are going anywhere in popular culture. I'll toss Omega Man 3 and add the Penthouse with Vanessa Williams and George Burns on the cover (and TL on the inside).
  6. Personally I would drop XMen 221 and 248 and ASM 252. I'd add Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Star Wars 107 and Omega Man 3.
  7. Sorry about that. Photobucket jumbled my scans and I picked the wrong one. Here is the 187 back cover.
  8. Finally scanned this this Amazing-Man 8. Scared to touch it honestly.
  9. Item description says 3.5 photo is of 7.0. .
  10. Nice book. Betty is wearing the same sweater as the Archie 50 cover.!
  11. Here's a really good video that shed's some light on Chuck and Mile High comics.
  12. Timely topic that made me do some investigating to cut through the hyperbole. Today a new Youtube video from Chuck. It's kind of funny given what Chuck says in the video (and the person apparently jump roping in the background). Chuck says they have no money and its led him to slash prices on all his moderns and lower grade bronze and older. Sadly from my research it's clear that, while on the right track, he's still over priced. As far as whether he is sitting on a hoard of high grade silver and early bronze. Put me in the disbelieve camp. In Tales from the Database written in 2003 he said he had 200k of the mile high 2 books left. Paying for his stores and all those employees for the last 13 years probably has already taken a big bite out of that.
  13. For most books the sold search on eBay is invaluable. Gpa is excellent. Heritage also.
  14. Nice books. Creepy is where it's at!
  15. Lets see. One giant Great Lake, an East Coast mountain range and the panama canal is misplaced?
  16. I like those. +1. Everything but Corliss Archer. Something not quite right with her.
