  1. My view would be that supply will be the biggest factor that is likely to hurt the Walking Dead's original art value over time. The series is ongoing, and there are already over 2000 pages of original art out there. Those are huge numbers, and you have to wonder if the continuing demand can really sustain higher price levels with that much supply?
  2. Has anyone used the Epson perfection v330 for scanning slabs? It's not legal sized, but seems to be the cheapest 'new' scanner that uses CCD technology. Would be good to hear positive feedback before I pull the trigger on one.
  3. Maybe the time is now right to sell my NM sets of X-O Manowar 1-10 and Harbinger 1-10 (with pink sendaway book also NM)
  4. Sell off a few of those ASM 363's on eBay and mention in the auction that the Original Art for the cover by Bagley just sold at Heritage for $17,000!
  5. If you are thinking about Batman art, think again. None of it is for sale!
  6. 250 is a steal. Stan's been charging more than 50 for his sig for a while now. And a sketch that nice should be 100 by itself. Add in the book and that it is limited edition of only 250 copies and I would have expected 350 to 400 to be the retail. So let me get this straight...you will be flipping them for $400?
  7. The same could also be said for the fine art market.
  8. I'm not sure on the specifics, but it is pretty clear from looking at the art style that it is mainly Rubinstein.
  9. Has Frank Miller himself ever made a statement on this issue? Have we ever had any direct confirmation from him as to what he did or didn't do regards art on his DD run? Surely this can't be that hard to clarify. All this anecdotal, second and third party information only succeeds in muddying the waters further. For such a major run on a major title, it just seems crazy that there is so much misinformation.
  10. I haven't the slightest idea what this means. +1
  11. Arch flushed the toilet yesterday.
  12. I miss the old days...
  13. Kudos to the following forumites with whom I have had recent super smooth transactions... comix4fun tofer118 marvelcollector Thanks a lot guys, and I hope you enjoy the books.
  14. I agree. Also, the part about "threads may not be bumped to the top until a week after they have fallen off of the front page" is a big disappointment. I realize Arch is trying to prevent serial bumping, but a week seems much too long to keep any momentum. Speaking as one of the "little fish" that the guidelines are presumably trying to protect, I would have lost out on most of my sales if this had been in effect before. I agree with both sentiments. So do I. I don't think a time limit should be put on the bumping of a thread, rather a number of bumps limit should be applied. Say for example three seller bumps after all other activity has ceased?
  15. You can't be too careful when dealing with the US postal service. A pleasure doing business with you, and enjoy the book.

  19. that the first appearance of elizabeth montgomery from bewitched? Great pages for sure Gene, but it is amazing to note how much Gwen Stacy's appearance changed after Ditko left the book.
  20. ST 103, 106, 116 & 120 were bought raw and then slabbed (except for 106, I did not scan them once slabbed) In fact, ST 106 was my first purchase on eBay and I got it at a great price As for your former beauties, I still have ST 117 & 118. Your former ST 120 is in the caring hands of another forumite, the one that you originally sold it to... Glad to hear they are all still being enjoyed!
  21. Hey Frederic, great idea for a thread! Are some of these books my former CGC beauties that you deslabbed, or did you pick up some nice raw copies? Either way, a really cool bunch of books.
