  1. And I get it, if I was in that business I would chop my film to pieces to make it more palatable to all counties if it means one more ticket sold. It’s about putting butts in seats, foreign and domestic. BUT: I wouldn’t make any claims or promises to the contrary beforehand to the directors and people involved in the creative process. Just be upfront. “I know this is your passion project but that kiss is going to cost us a hundred million, so…”
  2. Unfortunately even the domestic audience is not immune to the Disney censors as Daryl Hannah has shown (or not shown) us.
  3. It just dropped right now on D+ but strangely was available on the 11th for iTunes. I’ll watch it tonight as this is the only Marvel film other than Infinity and Endgame that was originally filmed entirely in IMAX (digital).
  4. The Disney+ “IMAX enhanced versions” are not true IMAX unfortunately but IMAX certified shot with digital cameras. No Marvel movie was ever filmed using 70mm IMAX cameras. Those cameras are expensive and limited. Nolan used them on Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises and Disney used them for The Force Awakens and Last Jedi. But those shot with digital IMAX cameras are still better than the traditional widescreen aspect ratio as we get a little more from the top and bottom. Keep in mind this is not for the entire movie but more like 20 to 30 minutes as the aspect ratio shifts while you are viewing. The exception being the last two Avengers movies and Shang-Chi which were filmed in their entirety with digital IMAX cams. I’m looking forward to watching those three on D+ without the shifting aspect ratio.
  5. Interesting, Shang Chi is available to buy on iTunes right now so I checked D+ and its not there yet. Maybe in a few more hours.
  6. I just noticed she is holding an AA12. How the hell did I miss that before? Well I know how I missed it but still. Did she use this in the movie? In real life this would break down the human body like a lego set crashing to the floor. In the clip below, dude pulls one completely submerged out of a barrel and lets loose.
  7. Agreed. Well, its beyond what I’m willing to pay now anyway. I was foolish to think I was going to snap this up for around 12k. Who the hell collects The Maxx anymore? With BP, the auction is over $17000 with a week to go.
  8. Disney crossed the line when they edited out Daryl Hannahs bum. Mess with Star Wars all you want but some things are sacred and should be left alone.
  9. Oh what a surprise, Rob Zombie casts his wife in another movie. She wasn’t bad as Michael Myers mom in the Halloween remake.
  10. I remember watching the final fight in The Matrix Revolutions and I wasn’t alone in thinking, this is what I want in a Superman movie. Man of Steel delivered that and I was in awe. Much like I was in the 80’s watching the fight in Superman II. They should have skipped BvS and used some of the Batman elements from that film in a solo Batman movie. Then Aquaman, The Flash and ZSJL. Man of Steel II would have been great kicking off the next phase. Maybe with a Shazam appearance.
  11. That’s why I clicked this thread. A defining movie of that decade.
  12. Not odd at all. There are certain films that have a tone that stick with you. This is a first for a James Bond movie as well. I may change my third place ranking of it to tie with second upon further consideration. I have a lot to say about this movie but will wait until another viewing. I can say that it definitely did not feel like its run time. This felt like an hour and a half to me. Main gripe was we didn’t get to see Craig involved in some slick mano a mano / hand to hand combat. I know it’s become a cliche for Bond (well, any action movie) but even the weakest entry Quantum had some spectacular fight scenes.
  13. You know what’s awesome about this attack scene is that when cyclops walked up to get some point blank shots on the armored glass he was focusing his fire on the corner of the glass panel. That’s some ballistic attention to detail.
  14. I have a coworker who calls himself Eagle. Say’s its his tag/call-sign from when he was in the Army. And wants to be addressed as such. That’s real sh*t. I said, sorry bro I’m not f’n calling you Eagle. I don’t care if you took out Bin Laden.
  15. Rented this on iTunes today. Third favorite after Casino and Skyfall. I’m good with the ending as well. I know I said I wasn’t paying $20 for a rental since I’m buying it anyway but its Bond. Great finale and end to Craigs era.
  16. This should be a good sequel to Wonder Woman. I’m surprised it took them this long to make a part two.
  17. Octopussy was actually the first Bond movie I ever saw in theaters followed by A View to a Kill. Prior to that my dad and I watched some of the older ones when they would appear on TV which was a big deal then.
  18. Marvel just called their own movie the #1 movie in the world. Sounds legit.
  19. Bro what is up with your signature line, I can’t even screen cap all of it!
  20. Really looking forward to this one.
  21. Are you listening to yourself? I didn’t pirate any movie. I didn’t download or distribute anything. I didn’t view it via peer to peer. The movie is available to stream online and it is not illegal for a viewer to stream unlicensed content. At least as of December 2020. The other false statement you made is that I don’t own any products from this company. I have posted my collection here over the years so are there any other lies you would like to state about someone you do not know? Don’t hurt your credibility by making any further assumptions.
  22. Since no one has said it, I’m tired of this trend where they slow down classic songs for trailers in an attempt to be edgy and cool. And are they really going to use a song that was in The Lost Boys? YOU DON’T EVEN LOOK IN THE LOST BOYS GENERAL DIRECTION MORBIUS! Let alone try to allude to it with a bastardized version of a masterpiece by the Doors. Ok, I’ll return when my BP lowers.
  23. Finished Finch on AppleTV+. It was good. Not great. Decent sci-fi drama.
  24. I was disappointed with Halloween Kills. Weak story and acting. Some great kills though. That was another one of those streaming same day as theaters. I saw it on Peacock+. Now an uncut extended version is available for preorder on all the usual sites.
