  1. Fellow Gen X’r as well. I’ve owned an Atari in the 80’s and then as time passed, a PS1, Saturn, GameCube, Xbox and PS3. I’m looking forward to getting back into console gaming next year.
  2. Sweet, that means sales can’t be too far behind. I won’t rent this for $20 but I’ll buy a digital copy on Amazon or iTunes for $20.
  3. You assume a lot. About me and whether or not I have graded comics? Not sure how that’s relevant but if you say so. I didn’t realize a country’s status of importance relied on whether or not they play Marvel movies. Again, if you say so. And yes, there are goats here. Camels too although strangely I have never seen one.
  4. I agree, San Andreas is as good as it gets. The mobile versions are actually upgraded from the original console versions at higher resolution and it plays better on my iPad with a PS4 controller than it ever did before. I believe the new remasters are going to be on mobile as well so I guess I’m buying it again.
  5. I would pay to see the Batman movie he describes.
  6. He’s referring to the part where Thanos transformed into a MINI Cooper.
  7. I’m one of those weirdos that plays old school PS games like Bully, GTA San Andreas and Final Fantasy 7 on my iPad with a Bluetooth controller.
  8. While I’m not really a fan of this movie I have to give it credit for saving the theater industry.
  9. Why not? I can assure you The Eternals is not playing in a movie theater in my country.
  10. Ok, I started watching it just now and turned it off after the generic opening battle that bored me to tears. I’m not saying its a bad movie since I haven’t finished it but I’ll give it another chance tomorrow. Or will probably just skip to the third act since a few have said makes up for the first two.
  11. Jesus, he wasn’t even quoted and came in here like you owe him money.
  12. Of course, I’m sure most if not all will stop doing it soon. The point is, they were releasing same day theater films during the pandemic at no extra cost and Disney was the only one charging an extra $30 on top of their subscription fee. Peacock even released Halloween Kills on its platform same day as theaters.
  13. I do okay but I’m not sure I would ever be at the point where I would want to pay more for a service where the pricing was established.
  14. We all saw that coming. I was thinking it would be in the 90’s and it will probably get there. That will be the life raft that silvermaniac clings to support his argument for a film he hasn’t seen yet.
  15. Serious question, is there anyone else here that supports Disney+ charging their subscribers an additional $30 to view their new release exclusives when HBO, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Peacock+ etc. release their’s on the same day as theaters at no extra charge?
  16. Exactly. A global pandemic. Hard times for many. During these hard times it would have been classy if a billion dollar company would have “rewarded” (and I use that term very loosely) its subscribers by adding its new movies when they had it available. You know like Netflix, HBOMAX, Amazon and pretty much every other streaming service with exclusives. I didn’t want Black Widow for free as you wrote. I’m paying for a Disney+ subscription. HBO could have said, you’re going to pay extra for Dune and all the other big movies but they didn’t. Their subscribers are already paying for their service. Yes, Disney can do whatever they want and no one really expected them to do anything other than watch their bottom line. They charged their premiere access fee for 5 films so far and it may continue. Tough times for many but who cares? Disney is in the business of making money. At least there are alternatives. The fact that you support the way they handled their exclusives is mind boggling.
  17. I predicted high 60’s earlier in this thread. So my predictions suck.
  18. I would rather see an R rated series put out by WB than a CW series. This is good news.
  19. This ones going to have to wait for Disney+. I bought a year outright as it was a great deal. Eternals will probably land on D+ as an “early premium unlock” for $30 and they can keep it. When I bought the annual subscription package, there was no fine print stating I would have to pay for individual movies or wait longer. Like its a mobile game with in-app purchases. The thing is, who doesn’t already own their favorite Star Wars or Marvel movies? There’s around 500 movies on D+ and over 2000 on HBOMAX and around 5000 on Netflix. Those numbers are about a year old so probably higher now. But D+ better triple their content fast or they are getting dropped.
  20. She was fun to watch in Kingsman. This movie sort of sounds like fan fiction on the largest scale. Hopefully not.
  21. I remember when Brett stole my girlfriend in high school. If he didn’t have that charm and the looks and that car well… Unfortunately that interview with Downey didn’t age well. Not only did he come off as being dense but he ended up working for DC this year. He didn’t understand the ending? My kids didn’t have a problem following along. He must have recanted those words though since he’s producing for DC Entertainment now. The funny thing is at the end of each episode of Sweet Tooth is the Team Downey logo followed by DC. All the words are just smoke and its really just a paycheck which is why blind devotion in that industry makes no sense. I’m not a Marvel or DC fanatic. I love watching movies in general. One reason The Dark Knight stands out for me is that its not just a great comic book movie, its simply a great movie.
  22. His blind devotion trumps integrity. As shown when he contradicts his own statements that Bosco caught. It’s easy to stay consistent when you’re telling the truth.
  23. You are trying way too hard with the “take away this scene” or “this character” etc. That illogical game can be played with any movie. You’re really reaching. The movie is an accumulation of all its scenes and characters put together in a manner that works so well that it is considered the best comic book movie ever made. By who? You can google.
