  1. Part 1 complete. 37 minutes. I was going to watch one part nightly for a week but that’s not going to happen. I’m not a big fan of BVS except for a few great scenes here and there. I am now compelled to stop watching JL until I go back through it. I have to note that I thought the first Wonder Woman movie was just fine. I had no desire to rewatch it. It was fine. The second movie didn’t work. Ok, it was bad. WW’s opening scene in JL Part 1 was spectacular. So far it is the best WW scene I’ve experienced. The bank scene is now a serious act instead of the one we saw before. What a difference some small specific changes can make in tone and the overall scene. I can now say Gadot is simply perfect as WW. Then the big appearance and first battle scene. I’m speechless. The brutality and power on display. Just in complete awe. You get a real sense of sacrifice in that all or nothing fight. And wow, what a difference the soundtrack can make. I now fear the rest of this film can’t exceed this high point. Yes, I’m the glass half empty guy. Time to get back on this ride now.
  2. I hope he’s given a meaningful badass role. Even loved his part when Frank Miller had him belly surfing an electron through a wireless signal in DKSA.
  3. How did I not know the Atom was in this? I would rather have had Ray Palmer but Ryan Choi is cool too. I’m sure non-comic fans will say they ripped off Ant-man when Stan (God bless him) “got the idea” from the Atom.
  4. Perfect, that’s 10:30 in the morning for me when it drops. I’ll have my one sentence review up before you CONUS chumps wake up. I told myself I would only watch 45 minutes to an hour each night but we’ll see.
  5. Wow, so the dreaded RT score is actually going up from 70% to 78%. That’s a switch.
  6. I’m late with this one, I just saw Bosco posted it as well. Great review.
  7. There are some rabid Snyder haters that will chime in with their reviews soon.
  8. And the negative comments about the run time is just lame. Don’t watch it in the theater if your bladder or attention span can’t handle it. I love long epics (at home) and this one will be savored.
  9. As it stands now, this is the highest rated movie he’s directed according to RT. Not that it matters as I’ve said before. It’s could plummet to the theatrical release score of 42 and I still couldn’t be more excited for it.
  10. That’s terrible, on the 7 inch screen on the back of the seat in front of you? Sure this movie could be as dumb as Fast and Furious 14 but it will be fun and it will look incredible. Visuals and sound are what’s selling this movie. I’m not expecting The Departed.
  11. Always hated the title of this movie. Wished it was simply billed as Dawn of Justice. That’s it. The title under the symbols logo. But I understand they needed the big names in the title to be instantly recognized in every country. Dawn of Justice alone might be too vague in Flores, Guatemala and then WB misses out on some Quetzales. Still, a very unfortunate title to me.
  12. Here is a good example of one of the negative reviews on RT I read. I’m all for negative reviews with good points and I respect her opinion here. But this bad review makes me hopeful. This is someone who liked the theatrical release and thinks Snyder actually cut his full version down to it. She disliked the running time for the Snyder Cut. I can almost sympathize that this movie reviewer had to sit in a theater for 4 hours. I’m not sure I could. This movie is perfect for home. With the option to pause and a bathroom that’s not fifty yards away. I plan on downloading it from HBO on Thursday and staying off this thread as I watch 45 minutes nightly for one week.
  13. 100 reviews so far. 75 fresh, 25 rotten. RT score 75% Not that it matters at all. I’ll be watching in a couple of days and i believe it will be grand.
  14. I haven’t messed around with the RT site much even though many swear by it. My thoughts trump their top critics. But I was curious what critics thought about Snyder and wow. Watchmen and 300 are in the 60’s. Man of Steel in the 50’s. And those are his highest rated works. That tells me all I really need to know. Watchmen should be in the 90’s and MOS should be high 80’s. So with JL in the 70’s right now, I think I’m going to be blown away.
  15. Well, either way, it looks like the Snyderverse is going out with a bang. I’m hoping for a 4 hour documentary chronicling the event from the very first hashtag. Not because it’s Snyder or DC but because it’s a one of a kind cinematic event.
  16. Screen capture from iTunes. I never purchased this despite getting most of his movies. I have a feeling there’s going to be price drops soon. $9.99 $7.99 $4.99 Included with purchase of any WB movie
  17. Wow. I am SO glad I have only watched the theatrical release one time and never revisited it. It was a muddled mess that’s no longer fresh in my memory. I am really hoping for some Green Lantern but it’s probably not gonna happen.
