What does an engine block have to do with Thor?
-
Mila Jovovich would have been a great choice for the role.
Nope. No boobs.
And not half the acting ability of Johanssen either. (Not that she's bad.)

It's not clear to me that you ever asked for a credit, you said you asked for a replacement.
Apparently this is something they are unable to do. And I don't see anywhere in their reply where they said "it's not our problem".
Let me re-post their response, since you missed that part the first time:
Hi Joe,
The remaining copies we have in stock are in the same condition, which tells me that this is how we received all of these books. We apologize, but we will not be able to offer a replacement or credit.
Thank you for your business!
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
XXXXXX
They won't replace it & they won't credit it. That's kind of the definition of "not our problem".
You're correct that I didn't ask for a credit. I did only ask for a replacement, however their 2nd response about not offering replacement OR credit kind of directly implies "too bad, not our problem". Sure, I could still offer to ship the original back, but seeing as how I was told "no credit", why would I waste my money shipping it back just to not get credit for it anyway? That's just throwing good money after bad, as far as I'm concerned.
Sorry. I'll be darned, thought it didn't say that.

Benedict Wong Reveals Details About His Role In Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGEAccording to Benedict Wong, it looks as if Marvel Studios will definitely be using the more modern version of the character as inspiration for their film. "I’m certainly not going to be the tea-making manservant. We’re heading in a different direction. He’s more of a drill sergeant.”
However, it looks as if the martial arts element of Wong will be left behind and the character will strictly rely on magic. "There isn’t any martial arts for Wong in Doctor Strange actually, he’s more of a drill sergeant to Kamar-Taj. He’s one of the masters of sorcery."
My confidence in this movie gets shaken daily.

No Enchantress?
I'm sure she's coming. They just haven't cast her yet. Can you introduce the Executioner without the Enchantress?
That last Bosco post says Karl Urban is playing Skurge. Is that another name for the Executioner?

Prompt payer, good communicator

Jon pays quick and communicates well

I really don't get it, I really enjoyed. I watched it on HBO with my wife and 2 young girls and we all liked it. In fact both of my kids said they liked it better than CA:CW.
I expected to hate the movie based on the 9% rotten tomatoes score, but I don't understand the hate. Yes it was very formulaic, but not bad at all. Way way better than BVS.
Possibly the most vicious thing ever said about BVS.

Super fast payment. Pleasant to deal with
-
They still just don't get it.
Exemplified by stating they" made a bad movie", followed by "we love that cast".

I'm going to be posting about 165 books in the Silver/Bronze forum FRIDAY night (5/13), starting at about 7:30 PM EDT.
A variety of titles; ASM, DDs, FFs, JIM/Thors, a few Caps and CMs, a couple early X-Men.
Also a smaller thread of about 30 in the Copper forum; mostly ASMs and X-Men.
Drop in and take a look

Thinking it's Fitz, hoping it's Daisy.
Hoping it's not Mack.

Apocalypse reminds me of Peter Boyle in Young Frankenstein...
-
Disappointing.
A good cast does not a movie make. Or trailer.
-
i believe that russel and stalone are rumored to be cameos are they not? Think i saw somewhere they are playing themselves...
I hope not - it sounds like a terrible idea.
+1

Hamill has been saying a few odd things lately...

I'd replace old male readers stuck in the past with a new contemporary readership.
Ah, nothing like loyalty to customers that helped make you what you are.

I think this conversation is ridiculous. This is a specific thread dedicated to AF15 discussion and we are discussing whether it's okay or not to say something negative about a book. Perhaps the Mods should shut this whole thread down and start a new AF15 kudos only thread.
Makes sense.
I think it would definitely be fair for them to scrub all the posts since the link to the sale was posted. Or they could even move them to the other thread about this book in the Silver forum if people want to continue the conversation.
Why?
Because I have been yelled at in other instances where we have gone off track in the ongoing "club" thread versus a new one for discussion. The purpose of this thread is supposedly for people to post their membership as owners of Amazing Fantasy 15.
Or so I am told.
Ah, I see.
Probably should have its own thread then. It is worthy of discussion.

HBO.
Jonathan Nolan.
I'm probably the only one who cares.
I care about anything with Anthony Hopkins.

Randall is an excellent grader, quick shipper and very good communicator.
Can't ask for more

It's sounds from everywhere JJ is garbage.
Completely a matter of opinion. I loved it, and I enjoyed it better on first watch than I did DD.
I've watched the first 6 episodes, and I think it's very good storytelling. It meets the acid test of a drama: do you want to know what happens next?
I find the answer is always yes with this series so far.
And I should note, I wasn't too excited about this series.
Shouldn't be compared to DD; they are different stylistically. However, overall, half way through, it compares favorably IMO.

Obviously a very well produced show, but I have yet to see anything that wows or immediately draws in the viewer the way the Daredevil trailer did (particularly for the non-comic-book-nerd crowd). Perhaps it is just the source material and a weak F-list character that does not seem capable of supporting their own show, but this material looks like a long, drawn out (no pun intended) version of the monster of the week stuff they've done on the SHIELD show.
Fortunately the canvas is small, so if it doesn't quite connect it won't harm the Marvel brand at all.
-J.
Obviously in the minority here, but my overall reaction to the trailers is .
Good production values, a little interesting, but not that compelling.

I like this show overall, but it never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
