  1. Maybe that's why the moderation here has been heading in a different direction.
  2. That the bubble we currently are in would burst. I'm ready for a reset like in the 1990's.
  3. Unless I missed it, how will the two accounts be linked? When I log into CGCcomics.com only my real name is listed, not my board name. +1 and when is the email going to be sent?
  4. McFarlane needs to revitalize Spawn and the Universe that he dwells within. To do so he needs to allow a film to be made on the characters within his books. Not to do so will allow Spawn to fall further and further out of the public's consciousness. Personally, I think McFarlane is keeping the comic going until he passes Cerebus. He wants the title of longest running independent comic because he knows it will never be broken.
  5. I was posting about stories I'd like to see told in comics but if people want a story developed into a movie and want to post it here, go ahead.
  6. Yep. It is amazing how much information people give to others via the stickers on the backs of their vehicles. That nice sticker advising your daughter is a high school cheerleader? Great, you just informed Bob the burglar when you won't be home on Friday night. He follows you home and he has your address. Thanks for that NRA sticker and ham radio sticker being there too. He knows you more than likely have weapons and electronics in your home for him to steal. Congrats, you did all his scouting for him and made yourself a target.
  7. Not sure if this belongs here. However, I was rereading Miller's The Dark Knight Returns the other day. It made me want to read a 4 or 5 issue mini-series in which the fall of the Justice League and other heroes is explained. I'd like to know what happened to cause Superman to rip Oliver Queen's arm off. Do you have any stories that you'd like to read based upon books in the Copper age of comics?
  8. If the feedback doesn't violate any eBay policy, accurately reflects an opinion of the transaction, and the exchange in eBay messaging between the seller and the buyer doesn't violate a policy how do you get it removed?
  9. Make a call to both HA auctions and Comic Link auctions. Josh at Comic Link will be more than willing to chat with you and offer advise. Note, he'll be trying to get you to list some of those books with his company. If nothing else, both of those companies will provide you with information about how they do business, their fees, and what you might expect to occur if you chose to list the books with them.
  10. Hope that it has a lower budget so the CGI is kept to minimum. Gonna be hard pressed to come up with an actor to be the Kurgan.
  11. At Hastings, I was able to purchase the Hot Toys Iron Man Hulkbuster and Mark XLIII (battle damaged version) AMC007 Artist Mix Collectible Figures Deluxe Set for $ 48.00. All their statues/figures are 60% off now.
  12. With Hastings going out of business I have purchased the following there: 1) Kotobukiya - Avengers Age of Ultron Hulkbuster at 40% off 2) Kotobukiya - Avengers Age of Ultron 1/6 Iron Man Mark XLIII at 50% off 3) Square Enix/Marvel Universe Variant Play Arts - Iron Man at 50% off Also, I got the following Marvel Select figures at 50% off: 1) The Hulk 2) The Punisher 3) Green Goblin
  13. Then don't watch it. Pretty simple solution to being mad that a TV show has too many episodes in a season. Never heard anyone complain that a show they liked to watch gave them too many shows to watch.
  14. If you rent a box at your local UPS Store and have everyone ship items to it then you don't have to worry about a lost or package that was delivered to the wrong address. Our UPS store scans in the package when UPS/FedEx/DHL/USPS drops them off. They become responsible for them at that time until I pick them up. Also, they note on the slip I have to sign for if the package arrived in good shape, damaged, or open. Never had a package get delivered incorrectly since having all our mail sent there.
  15. Glad I live where I live and that I know the people in the County Attorney's Office. That means I have recourse and can get a warrant. It would certainly make an artist's life interesting wouldn't it?
  16. If a commission went on for more than 6 months after the promised delivery date I would advise the artist I was asking for a refund in the next 7 days. If it didn't appear I would: 1) Print off proof I paid $ X 2) Print off all the emails showing what what type of work was agreed upon, the size of the work, what format to be completed (pencil/pen/marker/paint), what dates we agreed upon for the work to be delivered. 3) Walk into the County Attorney's office with all of the above and swear out a warrant for either misdemeanor or felony theft depending on the amount of the commission. Might not work in a big city but us little town people could get that warrant issued.
  17. Did he ship with the Barrett? If not, where did you get it?
  18. Damn...pretty pricey I'd say. He's cashing in on the popularity of his creation. Not like anything he's come out with in the last 10+ years has shaken the world. If Stan still gets a hundy to sign a book I'm sure Rob feels he's worth about the same. Heck, he probably thinks he's cutting you a break at $70.00.
  19. no Chicago bball??? I didn't see the signup sheet that normally pops up in Comics General. The new signup sheet requires full releases of video rights. We're gonna need promo posters to hype the show! Isn't that how Chris Angel stands when he finishes a trick?
  20. Unfortunately, if they do an investigation/search and report back that the package is "lost" they will send you a check for $ 100.00 if that is what the package was insured for and you have indicated that in your post(s). Hope it turns out some other way though. Just a bummer.
