  1. Sue is a super nice lady. I speak to her after almost every auction to pay for whatever I purchase.
  2. The people at Comic Link are good people. Josh is a stand-up guy. They aren't nefarious in their dealings.
  3. Harsh, glad you are OK. More Cities should put together a Craig's List area for transactions. Generally, the ones that are in smaller towns are in front of a PD and under the watch of a camera.
  4. I heard this is what happened later at that pawn shop.
  5. It is a book that has consistently broken into the top 10 for how many years? What other book that is almost 15 years old and hasn't been rebooted every 5 years is selling around 70,000 copies? That would be none. What other book has the number 1 TV show? None. What other book/show generates the crowds at SDCC like it does? None, unless we are going to chat about the studios ripping off another story arch from 20+ years ago to make movies out of and that leads back to the post that stated this thread about Marvel. What has it done for the industry? It has produced revenue that kept Image alive. It produced revenue to keep Todd's toy company running. It lead to the development of other comic titles on TV and on streaming platforms. It showed producers and studios that their was an audience for comic book characters on the small screen. Culturally it brought zombies back. Christ, for a few years they were EVERYWHERE. If people are going to put Star Wars (the franchise that tells the same story arch every 3 movies with different characters), and Star Trek (don't even get me started on how bad the original show was) in this list them you have to add Walking Dead. They are all one offs with their own Universes that have become cultural phenomena.
  6. TMNT was a parody of itself 15 years into its run. It was a kids TV show. While I don't like the Walking Dead; I do respect what it has done for the industry. I don't short change it as you did in your post. Without it I wonder where the industry would have gone. I think it would have gotten a lot smaller than it currently is.
  7. Not titles, but if you look at one title that has its own universe , spawned the number #1 TV show, huge fan experiences/cons event(s), then you might want to chat about The Walking Dead in this thread. People seem to forget home much the title changed comics and that it has been around for almost 15 years.
  8. The Here's Negan Charlie Adlard OA Sketch cover ended on eBay. It sold for $1,815.85. You can purchase very nice Walking Dead OA pages for that amount.
  9. The Liefeld OA Youngblood #1 sketch cover that ended tonight went for $ 324.00. Wow!
  10. The one that ends today is better than the one that ended the other day. It is more detailed. I think the '90's effect might be a part of the price too.
  11. I think that the buy it now prices are way out of line on the ones I have seen up. The Liefeld ones are at over 2K. The auctions ending in the 2 bill to 3 bill range seem appropriate to me. The Adlard sketch cover has an auction listing that's bid is at $1300.00+. It ends in 9 hours. I wonder what the hammer price will be. The Adlard sketch cover makes the Liefeld auction listings seem like bargains...LOL.
  12. The Liefeld OA Youngblood sketch covers are starting to show up on eBay. Yesterday, one auction ended at $270.00 and the one scheduled to end in a day or two currently has a bid around $200.00. Please note, that neither are my listings. Just sharing the information.
  13. I wonder how overweight those overhead bins were on the planes leaving the area?
  14. If you are building a house you can put in a whole home dehumidifier as a part of your HVAC system. We put one in at our lake house when it was being built. I love it. We are thinking of adding one to our home.
  15. How long does it take until we find out if he is awarded the trademark?
  16. Another avenue of thought is that it is in Comic Link's best FINANCIAL interest to reopen the bidding. If the final sale price is higher they capture a larger selling fee. Not implying that is why they would do that for that reason.
  17. That isn't the way the Hollyweird press attempts to frame the story.
  18. I've never understood why the box office take is used by Hollyweird's press as an indicator if a film is good, bad, or indifferent. The Bay City Rollers sold a ton of albums but nobody would ever throw out those figures in an attempt to say they produced great music...LMAO.
  19. I'd respond but you'd hit the report key like you did in out last interaction.
  20. Psst, they were all horrible movies. It had nothing to do with the gender of the lead character.
