  1. Classic Comics/Illustrated #26 has no notation whatsoever in OS 21 (1991), but it is notated by OS 28 (1998). I don't have OS 22-27.
  2. Aw, come on! Some of your best posts have been when you've had too much beer.
  3. As of 1998 (OS 28), Eerie #1 was the "1st Horror Comic" and Adv Into Unknown was the "1st continuous horror series". But by 2001 (OS 31), they are both demoted to "supernatural". I don't have OS 29 or 30.
  4. I've been noticing quite a few "Red Hood" covers (Suspense 3, HOS 4, SS6). And all the ones I've seen are very cool looking. Has anyone ever started a thread on this subject?
  5. I was fortunate to pick up some favorite BA horror covers at Wizard Chicago con, including my favorite HOS cover.
  6. I have a feeling this is going to be a long thread.
  7. Looks like a flaming shovel of poo to me. Perhaps it should be... "Til Death Poo Us Part".
  8. This should be waiting for me when I get back home....
  9. Have you told Arnold about them He'll happily just take your word about their existence and rush them into the next Overstreet.
  10. Did anyone see the Thing #16 double cover that just sold on eBay? Very cool NM copy.
  11. Why is this thread now in Original Comic Art Forum? In the last week or so I got more TOS books for my mid-grade run. 67, 70, 86, 87, 95, 97 from eBay seller sorent23 [very good grading] and 62, 66, 69, 81, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 96 from Fuelman [also, well graded ]
  12. And my great "How You Can Defend Your Home" + stalking joke Am I in some sort of weird warp thing? I can still see both Ian's scan and Chrom's comment in this thread. Why am I the only one? Or are you two wringing your hands and rending your clothing without having actually looked? Geez, women have to do everything. Men are so helpless! -- Joanna I wrongly assumed Chromium knew what he was talking about. Lesson learned. [Yes, it is still there. ]
  13. I have a copy being graded by CGC that should squeeze out a 9.4 How much?
  14. So has my scan of "How You Can Defend Your Home" been removed And my great "How You Can Defend Your Home" + stalking joke That was the only good thing to come out of this thread yesterday.
  15. Just saw that GCD has ashcans listed. GCD Ashcan Listings I think this one is my favorite...
  16. BassG, I was absolutely thinking about this cover to post; I love this one! I think this thread is just awesome, and I'm thankful I have these boards to share our collective interest on this genre!!! It's on my BA short list. Great cover!
  17. Sure you do. Classic example of what happens when DL starts posting in your thread. Shame.
  18. You know, Keith, I think purple is my favorite precode horror background color. It's a sweetie! I think it's my favorite background color period. There are alot of cool purple covers.
  19. How is it narrow-minded? A consigner gets a book and the seller says I want X amount of dollars for it. The consigner lists the book for that price. If it doesn't sell then the nobody gains any money. If the book sells then the seller gets his money less the cosigner commision. I can't believe I have to explain this to you. the consigner doesn't lose any money at all. period. nothing. nada. zip. He only gains if the book sells. No sale, no money. What is lost is the opportunity at making a commission.
