  1. It's pinned. Now I'll have to buy something so I can post here.
  2. Anybody have any recent purchases to post? Here's one I received last month.
  3. And one vote for shopping at "S-Mart". That's where I got my 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. You can find it in the sporting goods department. That's right, it was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan; retails for about one hundred nine, ninety-five. Sorry, I missed out on the reparte. But I like to actually sleep at night. "This is my BOOM STICK!" BTW - I also would vote to keep the BA horror in one thread.
  4. You can thank Ze-man for coming up with it. Although I did second the motion put forth by FFB.
  5. Too bad it's not mine. I'm just using it for reference. Sold for like $8K on Heritage.
  6. This was my favorite cover,.......if that helps. Is that The Monk?
  7. I was seriously thinking about bidding on this. I've wanted a Showcase #43 since I first started collecting and this one is a double cover. But the bid went a bit high and I forgot to watch the end of the auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=82486&item=6521300423&rd=1
  8. She's not trying to catch him... she's luring him to his DOOM!

  10. Thanks for sharing your story. Yeah, comic collecting will do that.
  11. Due to computer problems, my internet is down. So no comics this week (or last week). I was going to bid on a run of Mr. Monster. Now I'll have to start looking again when I get my computer back up.
  12. What other great pre-hero monsters did Stan Lee come up with? Crapo the Unreadable Lamo the Derivative
  13. Never even heard of Okajima. Or Okijima, for that matter. As usual, another great Black Terror book from NearMint's collection.
  14. Why? Perhaps he's thinking along the lines of encapsulation for preservation purposes.
  15. Classic. I believe it was the story that the first Duck Tales cartoon was based on. I used to watch that in college (where's the sheepish graemlin). I've always liked Uncle Scrooge, so I could seriously get into collecting Duck books (especially if I had some of his riches).
  16. Nah, I'm afraid of getting lead poisoning.
  17. I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more date stamps.
  18. Sorry,.....didn't mean to yell at you,..... You big meanie! Leave 'em alone.
  19. I like those pre-hero Marvel covers (especially TOS), but I doubt that I will ever collect them. They are too expensive in Fine or better. At that monetary level, there are too many hero Marvel comics competing for my collecting dollars. Love looking at them though.
  20. 6/66........... sign of the devil! Better burn it! 03/08/66 ? Sorry, but I only look at the label. Sweet Strange Tales collection, Baklo.
