  1. Any copy of Suspense #3 is impressive. Congrats, Doiby.
  2. So in the end, you settled for less than VF. Glad you finally got one. Of course, it's not as nice as my 9.0.
  3. Nice pickup, Norinn I got a sizable run of VF Marvel Collectors Item Classics from SNE a few years back. The only 'hg' books I've ever purchased from SNE, and they were reasonably close on grade. I like all the early Marvel reprint titles, but MCIC is my favorite - Fantasy Masterpieces being a close second. I'm convinced these early reprint titles are due for a significant jump in price; for many next-generation collectors, they may be the only SA versions of early Marvel titles that are accessible price-wise. I've read #1-#9 so far. #6 is missing two pages.
  4. Darn you! I was just going to post that. Here's some info on other pedigrees.... Pacific Coast thread White Mountain origin
  5. Norinn Radd's Big Week-O-Comics! From Showcase-New-England... Marvel Collectors Item Classics 1-13, 20-25 - Reprints early SA classics! From Dr. Banner... Tales of Suspense #63, #64, #65 - Great comics and great reading! From FFB... Chilling Adventures in Sorcery #5 & #6 - Nice F/VF comics.
  6. wooden bullets. oh yeah, that's totally plausible. look, i can buy dracula in an off-the-rack blue suit, brown dress shoes, and a pointy red satin cape, but wooden bullets is a stretch i cannot abide Ever hear of ironwood? Wooden bullets were used in WWII
  7. Congrats! I saw that one. Tempting, but I've decided to wait for a 9.0/9.2 pedigree copy.
  8. There is a poster to Amazing Mystery Funnies #20 for sale on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WD1V
  9. Sure would like to see some more Centaur's !! Buy some. They are pretty cool. If they are cheap enough, I may have to check them out.
  10. Then I guess you'll have to miss out on the new Nohands post, huh? Don't make me pull this car over! Oh, all right. As I said, sweet book! I can only hope there's a Pacific Coast ToS in my future collection.
  11. Then I guess you'll have to miss out on the new Nohands post, huh?
  12. Sweet, indeed. Too bad it's a pre-hero ToS.
  13. Fix your signature animation, 14_of_spades. I miss it.
  14. Discounts: Established CGC Board Members (1,000 posts or more) can deduct 15% off of orders costing $125 or more. Too bad everything is SOLD
  15. Works for me... Jim Me too. Sweet books. Nice QP.
  16. Woohoo! Another convert. Just wait. The 3rd trade is very good; sets up one of the major players in the series. But in the 4th trade everything starts coming together. You'll love it! Woohoo! More competition for Risso's art.
  17. Starting reading the TPBs and just got #3 yesterday. Excellect series. I am very excited about reading through all of the issues and finding out what happens. I'm pretty finicky when it comes to shelling out $15 for a TPB and I wouldn't be buying all of them unless this was a great series. As Sean (and Chris) said, anyone not reading this series should be.
  18. Nice B&B comics, Adam. Great covers! I haven't really looked at the pre-hero ones before.
  19. Yeah. I've never seen that cover of SoHH #17. Nice scope cover.
  20. I'm surprised there wasn't a thread about this auction... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33820&item=6524143642&rd=1
  21. Agreed. I've bought two or three times from Andy, and have been very pleased. His selection is definitely impressive. Definitely worth a look from more folks. No Tales of Suspense from #39 to #74.
