I think whatever genre you collect, you gotta have a cornerstone book. 3 years ago I posted a similar thread, and then went on to reboot my collection. I sold my smaller books and replaced them with a single book - my cornerstone book. Now I occasionally add smaller books around it and have the collection and the direction that works best for me. The space saving is enormous- my dog, my wife, and my parole officer all like me better now

This!!!  Selling just seems so daunting though.

I just bought another copy of Rom 26 out of a dollar box because Galactus is cool.

I don’t think I’ve ever even actually read the book, but I see a nice copy of it in the dollar box and it comes home with me.

The way Rom outsmarted Galactus was just embarrassing!

Interestingly enough, I also have this issue and Marvel Feature 4 in a double cover. Great copy! (thumbsu

Nice!  It would be good to see variant collectors post their double covers just to what other issues are out there.  In this thread I only recall seeing a WWT 15 (page 117) and the mention that someone also had that one.

Used to be a way to protect the buyer if they didn’t trust the sale outside of eBay or the seller’s accepted form of payment. I’ve done a few transactions for things I had listed on facebook but the buyer felt more comfortable if I set up the sale on eBay because of the rampant scamming on fb

Thanks for the reply.  I’m questioning a  regular auction style listing and not a one on one transaction.  On a auction listing where the seller checks the “private listing” option the bidding is open to the masses and the bid page will look like this:

  5. What would the reason for eBay seller to do private listing/auctions? One reason may be to hide shilling but could there be  a legitimate reason? Seems bidder identification is concealed with any auction style listing.  Don’t see many but it grabs my attention when I do.  Thanks in advance!

    Does anyone happen to know at what point(s) the shipping rates change at CL?  (ex: 1 - 3 books = $x, 4 - 10 books = $x)

I asked them similar question last month but specifically about 2 books and this was their reply:

    ————————
It's partially dependent on the value of the shipment as well as the number of books.

2-3 books up to $200 is still $25.   2-3 books up to $500 is $35 in shipping cost.    Up to $1000 is $40 in shipping cost.

Books over $1500 are usually required to be express shipping at a higher shipping tier.

    Thank you,
