  1. Also here is my little gem from HI. Not my favorite cover, but just glad to have one.
  2. Who did the Tank Girl? I really like that one. Hoping to get a Jusko Vampirella in Dallas this weekend!
  3. I bid on about 20 of these and this was the only one I won. The grade is actually decent. Looked like only about half were 9.8 or 9.6's. There was one 6.0, thank goodness it wasn't mine! Not my fav but just glad to have one.
  4. I personally would be in favor of bringing back "chased" signatures. In my mind, a witness signature is a witnessed signature. I could care less if it was done in an organized signing or not.
  5. I agree there would be some problems like typos or a person who uses two name like Billy Tucci (I sometimes see SS books that say William or Bill Tucci), but that happens even with Titles. And while not perfect it would be useful. Assuming that they record all the info in a field for each book when it is entered, it would not be extremely difficult. It seems worthwhile to be given how many questions and threads I see on this issue.
  6. Planet Awesome Collectibles is not attending. I just reached out to them.
  7. They have the data, all they would have to do it search it. Seems to me they could take say the 500 most common names (Stan Lee, McFarlane, Kirkman etc) and run searches on the notes section of all past books and come up with a number to start. That would take a computer programmer about 15 mins of time. And boom there is a start to a census. Then they could just run other names as a new one came through. For instance a new Arnold book comes through, you run a search of all past books with Arnold's name in the notes and out comes a number. Sure it might take a couple of years to get it to be complete but it is better than what we have now.
  8. I think we should start a petition to get CGC to start tracking sigs. It doesn't seem like it would be difficult. That could help a lot of with all of claims of "only sig in the census."
  9. So apparently Lynda Carter is doing a concert at Palm Springs Comic Con next month. Does anyone know if she is signing (other than the $1200 VIP package that gets you a mere one signature). http://comicconpalmsprings.com/lynda-carter-tickets/
  10. They have Lynda Carter!!!!! Does anyone know if she is signing?
  11. Honestly there is really no way to know for certain because CGC doesn't track that (though in my opinion they should, it seems like it would be an easy thing to track). And I agree with littlebill, there are a lot of rare ones out there that aren't necessarily super valuable. Case in point, this book I had done earlier this year, there are probably not many Wilford Brimley books in the registry but no one has been knocking down my door with thousand dollar offers.
  12. The first of my Curry books arrived today. Love this cover. I wish it had been a higher grade but these books are so hard to find in perfect condition.
  13. I wouldn't. I would get get a C3PO book and have it signed.
  14. Just got these in. Harley Clockwork Orange homage signed by Malcom McDowell. More importantly 2, yes 2, Star Wars books signed by the greatest Star Wars actor of all time Wilford Brimley (star of Ewoks Battle for Endor, hands down the greatest Star Wars movie). Even got him to inscribe the best quote of the movie "You little bug lover!"
  15. My RHPS Curry books are still being pressed. I can't wait to get them!
  16. Is RL Stine $5 on my account? I want to get a couple of Man-Thing books.
  17. You can buy Alan Moore CGC SS books pretty reasonably from Avatar's distributor: https://www.comcav.net/collections/alan-moore-signed-books
  18. I bet Hero Initiative is shooting themselves for this format. The Phoenix books went super cheap.
  19. Anyone know what the price ranges for these books has been? Doing these auctions at cons seemed like a weird way to do it. I kinda liked the ebay format.
