  1. i can find 4 9.6's that have sold in the past year for between $1650 and $2k- not sure what extra motivation would be needed if the owner was at all inclined to sell. The fact that it hasnt been pressed, still in old blue label, it has white pages and its from a Pedigree. those are four reasons not to sell it as is. Well as more 9.6's come onto the market the price will lower and maybe now is a good time to sell.

  3. Wow now upto $1700. Did anybody notice that the previous issue i.e 226 is from the Oakland collection and is a 9.6. I know that the #227 from this collection is also a 9.6 and i have been waiting for years for this to go up for sale. I also had confirmation about a year ago that it was still in its old original blue label and i am so hoping this RM copy sells for a high price to tempt the owner of the Oakland copy to finally sell.
  4. That's an exceptional copy. Here's my beat-up copy. nothin wrong with a nice reader copy, besides you have the real deal. I'd trade all my BA books for a copy of Tec 31. My 227 is a great reader alright. I fell in love with Tec 31 about two years ago. <3 That looks like one of Chuck's NM copies lol But seriously though i finally found out who owns the NM+9.6 Oakland copy which is still in its old blue label. I offered him crazy money and he still wouldnt take it.
  5. Does anyone know where all the early Jerry Robinson Action Comics ended up?
  6. I wonder with all these high prices paid for a lot of Silver Age 9.4 and above key issues what price the Strange Adventures #117 9.2 would fetch(and no i dont have it). Granted its not a 9.4,9.6 or 9.8 but would that really matter seeing as its a key issue and easily the highest graded.
  7. They are indeed. Definitely should have had their own series. If done correctly they could still make an enjoyable movie..
  8. Im with you on this. Arguably the best Silver Age group never to receive their own title. Ive given up in my quest to find a 9.2 or 9.4 Strange Adventures #117 their first appearance. However yesterday i was scrolling through Pedigree Comics current auction to see if i could find any comics i might be interested in and found their other early appearances instead all in high grade and a pedigree to boot including 2 9.4's and i was like  . because high grade Strange Adventures Atomic Knight issues hardly ever turn up.
  9. I think this thread should be posted near the top of the 1st page so it doesnt get lost in the other pages and everyone gets a chance to see it(even Dupcak) .
  10. Oh and why would you think he WOULD file suit against anyone whom he feels is ruining his business and "public reputation," do you know him personally? Honestly how does Danny keep coming back on these boards?
  11. Does anyone what happened to the Pre-hero Marvels from the White Mountain collection. I remember reading in the Comicbook Monthly update that they sold for 6 x guide but it never said who to.
  12. :o :o That really is a tall order. Good Luck finding those as i know quite a few collectors who would definitely snap War Comics up from that era in that grade.
  13. I'll try again. Hey Shep what do you mean by in grade.
  14. When you say 'in grade' what grade do you mean exactly.
  15. This might be just me but does anyone else feel that the Gunner & Sarge issues from OFF are really undervalued
  16. I use to own the CGC9.0 VF/NM copy of Strange Tales #89 but sold it when ebay seller comic-keys offered me some NM key books in a private sale. My biggest ever regret was coming across this crook in the first place.
  17. I actually know who this guy is and after chatting to him at 1 of the marts. When i saw his name as 1 of the bidders i was surprised because he actually said he was getting ready to sell his collection. I also knew it was time to step aside and not get into a bidding war with him. I once went round his house to see his collection which was incredible. Tons of high grade books covering Horror, War, Western plus the usual Superhero books. I managed to pursuade him to part with 1 of his books after hours of negotiating a DC 100 page Super Spectacular #4 which i think would grade either a 9.4 or 9.6 if sent to CGC.
  18. Okay ive gone through every single website listed on this thread but cannot find the one i was looking at last night. The first page on the website has a piece of artwork from either Captain America or Nick Fury drawn by both Jim steranko and Jack Kirby. Can anybody remember what dealer/collector this on his website.. JC
  19. What Witching Hours would you say are uncommon i.e which issues are you having trouble to find in high grade
  20. What was the book? How did you find out he purchased it?
  21. I remember Doug Sulipa saying he sold a Bronze Age Batman with 8 thats EIGHT covers I wonder if this was ever sent in and if CGC managed to fit the grades of all the covers on the label.
