  1. There definitely seems to be something missing between the self titled books. It's throwing me off. None of my Infiltration variants were sealed or had the little IDW sticker on the back flap. My eventual plan is to have most of them pressed and graded. CBCS graded a couple of mine as they were test books to see their grading before I had a CGC account. I only needed the Iron Hide variant (5c I think), but I ended up buying a lot of the whole Infiltration run for about $175. Now I have to unload the extras. On a side note, my MTMTE #19 RI just received a CGC 9.8 so I got that going for me. In any case, my plan for Botcon is to find TF #9 (Auto Assembly), #22RI, and Orion Pax RI. I may get a sketch or two since a bunch of the artists will be there.
  2. Hopefully the above link works so you can see what I am referring to.
  3. There's a seller on ebay listing some of the Infiltration variants for sale. However, said seller is going to list the mini-prints separately. My question is will that make the book incomplete if it is sent to CGC for grading and get the green label? I ask more for other potential buyers than me since I already own it all. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=172141063246&alt=web
  4. I have no problem picking anything up for people. I know there are some tough issues to pick up. As long as the requests are reasonable, I will do it. My two conditions are that I take care of myself first, and I'm limiting requests to just comics. A lot of artists will be there too, so if anyone has a blank cover they want sketched, I can see about that too. I don't know about CGC or CBCS being there to authenticate anything, but it is always an option.
  5. Will do. That's one unicron that I do have. Pretty sure I am having it pressed right now. If anyone wants anything in particular, just message me a list and I'll do my best. I'll just charge my cost + shipping and insurance. I'm not ebay.
  6. That's funny. I can't stand MCS but at least they gave some amplifying information about the issue. I have one that I received from Graham Crackers Comics as part of my subscription through them. It's probably a 9.6 if I were to send it down. Waiting to see what my MTMTE #19 RI comes back as from CGC. Nice post about the book. The RE copies for the 50s should be out soon. I talked with Emerald Knights about one and they are making it available st a convention first, then their store. I'll be heading to Botcon in April. I'm looking for #22RI. If (and that's a big if) I find multiple copies, I will let you guys know.
  7. Glad to hear that he was really cool. I have a reproduction poster of TF the Movie. I would like to see if I can get a show close enough to Cincinnati to get him and Welker to sign it. Some of the other voice actors still make appearances. I would think Bot Con is always the big one in the US.
  8. I would not feel bad about it if I were you. Ultimately it comes down to whether you want it signed or not. From a value standpoint, if you were going to try and flip a signed book, it makes more sense to have the signer put their name on something they worked on. Frankly, I think it is great that you got Cullen's signature. I would love to be able to meet him and Welker and just have a total fanboy session with them.
  9. I think it is awesome that the AHM #1 had Welker and Cullen's signatures, but Maximus is right. I wouldn't pay the price on it because they don't work on the IDW series and they aren't really associated with it. I see people try to sell a Punisher #1, or what have you, with Stan Lee's signature. It's cool and all, but the price is inflated since he never worked on the book. I only have some signed books, but that only happened out of convenience with Mike Zeck bring at a show I attended. Like I said, I think it is cool that the AHM #1 was signed by both, but I wouldn't pay for it. Another AHM #1 showed up on ebay. Guy says it's a 6.0. I'm looking to upgrade my 9.2, but not with that one.
  10. I've seen some of the artwork here for MTMTE #50 and TF #50. Anyone know if there will be any other retailer exclusive covers or anything like that? The stories have been solid especially in MTMTE.
  11. The only signed edition book I have is Heart of Darkness #1. I did a little looking and was unable to find anything about a signed edition for Animated Movie #1. It could exist, but like I said, I haven't seen it.
  12. I had a 22RI before I sold off all my IDW books. I may have bought mine from IDW as well. Years ago IDW was selling nice sets of variant books on eBay. Instead of tape on the back of the bag/board they would have a IDW seal on the back, I think it was a small sticker if I remember correctly. Thats where I had gotten my full set of 4 Nightbeat Spotlight books. Im sure someone on this thread bought them from me. Off topic but I was able to confirm that I do have a full set of Dreamwave books including all variants, they put out some really beautiful signed books for Volume 1, not sure of many people know about them. The missing book for me for a while was issue Vol 3 7B & 7C by Pacific Productions. As I was sorting some loose books I found that at one point I had bought a 7C, no idea from where, but its finally over. Unless someone can prove me wrong, I really enjoy the Dreamwave stuff. I remember when IDW used to sell those sets. I ended up with a bunch of them. Stormbringer, Devastation and a bunch of Spotlight incentive sets. As far as Dreamwave went, outside of the questionable business model, I remember enjoying G1 Vol 2 and Vol 3 along with the War Within stories. It would have been nice to get some closure in the stories.
  13. As far as the MTMTE and RID #12 RI covers from the article, I actually stumbled across both at a local store. The books were chilling with the rest of the TF back issues, and I scooped up both for a total of $14. They are at CGC right now. I feel that I should have pressed them first, but I'll see how they come back. My new thing in the last few months is to have everything pressed before grading. It's costly sometimes, but for all the time and money I've out into this collection, I'd like the books to look as good as they can.
  14. I think I dropped $180 or so on a MTMTE #19 RI. It took a few days of negotiating to come down from $275. I also agree with the high price. The 9.0 copy on ebay looks super clean, so I would like to see grader notes. I'm wondering if it could be pressed to a higher grade. The only thing that miffs me about the Infiltration RI books is that some sellers don't have the mini prints that are supposed to come with some of the books. It's been hit and miss, but I don't really consider the book complete without them. It's just a little hard to argue price, when so few are floating around.
  15. Yes. Actually, just #5 RIC. I ended up snagging a #2 RIC over the weekend. I ended up filling out the rest of the books over the course of the summer. Eventually they pop up for sale.
  16. That's what I have been seeing. I need 2 more Infiltration incentives, and the #22 RI. I did find a guy in Canada who claims to have a #22 that he got directly from IDW. He said it isn't for sale at this time.
  17. I saw that it was up there. It's the only CGC graded copy in their census. Anyone got an extra copy of Orion Pax RI or Drift #4 c4 cover for sale, that would be great. Those two are proving to be a pain in the neck to find
  18. That looks like a pretty legitimate picture. I do a search for #22 RI just about everyday. I've contacted stores all over Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, and a few out west to see if any one has one available or if they can get me in touch with someone who only deals in harder to find variants and what not. At least I can see a physical copy of the book. IDW was coy when I asked them about it. They just said that it was produced. Is there a rough estimate of how many were produced? I'm venturing to say low hundreds. Possibly less than 200?
  19. I won't be hitting a convention until mid September. I have talked with Graham Crackers, Mile High, and a bunch of local stores in Ohio concerning #22RI. Graham Crackers is passing the word to a guy who will supposedly check during Wizard World Chicago. I've never seen a pic of the book other than the promo shot. I'll pass the word if I come across a couple copies. The only other issues that are eluding me are Transformers #9 Auto Assembly, Spotlight: Orion Pax RI and Spotlight: Nightbeat Botcon exclusive. The only one I've not seen is Orion Pax RI.
  20. UltraMaximus, I see that you are looking for a Primacy #2 Montreal CC. There is one for sale on ebay right now from Canada. I don't know if the Six Shot RIB cover is difficult to find. Granted, when IDW used to run an ebay store, I bought a ton of variants off them. All of Escaltion, Devastation, Stormbringer, and the Spotlight variants through the Revelation storyline. Admittedly, I got out of comics for a few years. I got back into it a few years ago, and IDW has really outdone themselves with the Transformers brand. MTMTE #19RI was a tough one to get. The white whale now is #22 RI from the 2009 series. I've been trying to like crazy to find anyone with any info about it. The best I've come up with is that IDW said it exists. So, that's all I've been able to go on. If anyone has any leads for it, throw them out there.
