  1. Nice selection there, mate.
  2. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the season. Frankly I think it's too long a break for such a short amount of episodes in the first place, but whatever. Their choice, they think it won't harm their viewership.
  3. Completed Starman Omni volume 2. Better than the first, more refined, better developed, which is good to see (although it was already off to a great start, mind you). I particularly enjoyed the story with Dr Fate, and while I normally hate holiday stories, the Christmas story here is just so good I can't help but enjoy it every time I read it. It always makes me smile. What more can I say, really? There's a reason this is a classic series. Recommended read. It takes me up to 214 for the year to date.
  4. How was COBRA Commander? I won't get to read mine for a few weeks.
  5. I don't care how late it is, I'm reading the issue now, and by gosh it counts, damnit.
  6. It's not going to 'destroy' Superman. All your comics will still be there, same as they always were.
  7. Can we choose to get them in public form along with PM?
  8. Well it's 7am and my day has already been made. I've been trying to get in on preorders for the 105 Mafex Hush Batman rerelease, but have been having no luck anywhere. Just checking constantly, as some Asian retailers have been putting them up in dribs and drabs, and I've constantly been too late for the drops. Frustrating. I really want this figure, and I'm annoyed I missed him the first time around. I noticed BBTS put some new Mafex stuff up for preorder. Just for the hell of it I'll check them too (they're in on my regular rotation too, also no luck to date), and they've got one open for preorder! So I instantly grabbed that, and preordered it. Went back and checked, and it was back at SOLD OUT status, so it was just the one available, and I was the lucky guy who got it. FINALLY! I've got one coming for me. I'm so happy.
  9. Starman Omnibus Volume 1. So as you can see, I opted for James Robinson's Starman. I haven't read it since the Omni's came out circa 2008, so now's a really good time for a reread, especially with the comics hitting the 30 year old mark this year. I'll also be honest, I don't remember much at all. Joys of brain fog, everything is new again. We're off to a good, relatively stable start. Very 90's, but I can't exactly penalise it for that, now can I? A quality beginning to a quality series. That's 17 issues, taking me up to 197 for the year to date.
  10. You shouldn't get the ASM 300 value, but I've heard very good things about Capitol One, so I honestly wouldn’t be surprised.
  11. Welcome to the club. Find a chair and get comfy, as nobody gives a f*&# about fixing it.
  12. The ability to not be in pain. That's it. And to share this gift with others. I'd give everything for a day without pain. Or the instant ability to know how to use a skateboard. Either/or.
  13. Meth Van Mike needs to face even more prison time for what he's done.
  14. Alright, that's all 5 volumes of Dynamo 5 knocked out. I can power through them because they're just such. good. comics. Really, if every comic was up to these standards the industry would be laughing. Written by Jay Faerber with art by Mahmud Asrar for most of the series (the final mini is drawn by Julie Brihla, who has an excellent style that is very close to Mahmud's) I can't recommend this series enough. It's got twists and turns you haven't seen in a superhero comic, something that's near impossible to do. Anyway, that takes me up to an even 180 books so far for the year. I'm not sure what's next. Could be Starman, DKR, Watchmen, or some more Masters Of The Universe. I'll decide later.
