  1. Exactly. You'd think that would life the sales, but we'll never find out will we. Way to go, DC, reprinting part 1 of a 2 part story. Genius. Pure genius.
  2. It really is. I'm still pissed they only reprinted the first volume. I mean come on, how much would they have lost making volume 2? They were able to commit to volume 1, so why not 2?
  3. Hasbro Pulse has his Star Wars Black action figure on sale at the moment, in the role of Grand Moff Tarkin, of course.
  4. I just read Brit volume 1, another book set in the Invincible universe. This one wasn't as enjoyable for me as the other material, but it was from very early on in the piece, so things were still falling into place creatively. It wasn't bad by any means, it just didn't excite me like the other Invincible universe stuff I've read. I have ordered volume 2 though, I intend to see the series through. Art by Tony Moore, and nice colours by the nicest guy in comics, Val Staples. The tpb contains 3 'books'. A book is roughly 46 pages each, so a tpb does contain the same as a regular 6 issue tpb, actually a bit more as there's also a 7 page epilogue and sketchbook. So that's 3 more to my total, taking me to 115 for the year to date. Next up: Infinity Inc/JSA The Generations Saga!
  5. Wh-what's the rake got to do with anything?
  6. I finished JLA The Deluxe Edition By Brad Meltzer. I've read these issues a few times over the years, bought them new off the racks, and besides the Eisner-winning #11 'Walls', there's not a whole lot of greatness here. Not anything I hate, but no stories that stand out. The art is marvellous, however, with Ed Benes handling most of the pencils. Skip the collection and just get #11. It's worth it. That's 15 more issues, taking me up to 112 so far for 2024.
  7. Might want to post it in here too, for reference sake.
  8. He's done a cover for one of the issues, hasn't he? Or is going to be, at least. Now if only we can get some interiors...
  9. It would be nice to see some IDW artists return sometime, like Casey Coller or Andrew Griffith. Or EJ Su, since if iirc one of his first pro jobs was with Kirkman on a He-Man oneshot for Icons Of Evil (I think). Plus they later worked together on Tech Jacket.
  10. New artist for #7 on announced! https://www.thepopverse.com/transformers-jorge-corona-daniel-warren-johnson-image-comic-skybound-hasbro
  11. Invincible Universe Compendium. Another reread from not all that long ago, but one which I loved. A lot of fun. 29 issues, taking me up to 97 for the year so far.
  12. That is absolutely the coolest thing I've seen today. I want one, practicality be damned.
  13. Grats on a nice pick-up! I wonder how many other people missed it by keyword search thanks to 'hugh' lot.
  14. Oops, yes, sorry. Too much toy talk with mates. It is indeed Masters Of The Universe.
  15. What do you do when you REALLY enjoy one of the omnibus' you've had for years, comprised of comics you bought as they came out but never read? Why, you reread it! So that's just what I did with MOTU Omnibus from DC. Great stories, carried over well by a handful of writers (if only all events were handled this slickly) from issue to issue, with everything from pickings from the 80's to Moderns? Fun, fun stuff, and I'm already looking forward to my second reread, whenever that may be. For now though, I bid it farewell, and join the board at 68 books for the year so far. A solid start.
