  1. Aaaand speaking of creeps....
  2. Liefeld doesn't own the rights to Youngblood anymore. They're owned by a complete wanker who couldn't monetise a talking, dancing dolphin.
  3. Supposedly only a year. Guess we'll find out. See some concept art for it just got leaked. It included I really hope we do. Besides him being my favourite character, it'd help clear up some mysteries surrounding his character for show watchers. I've got a friend to start watching it within the last week or two, and he's binged it all. He didn't know how Rex's new hand would work. I had to explain to him how his powers worked, so giving Rex an origin episode would clear that sort of thing up for show watchers, as he did bring up a fair point.
  4. This is cool. For anyone whose watched episode 3, they've apparently changed Jean in the intro for episode 4.
  5. One hell of a season finale. This had it all. Only thing missing was a check-up on Rex and Rae, but I can forgive them that, considering everything else that happened. Yes, it ended on the exact line fans had predicted, though altered slightly, it was still an emotional bombshell. What did you guys think? Of the finale and the season overall?
  6. Green Lantern: Circle Of Fire tpb - some classic Kyle. A bit of a odd conceit, but just go with it and you'll have a good time. I gave a mate my old copy in favour of the new, which has added issues, always a good thing. They didn't do much for the main story, but it's always nice being able to add to that rain. I enjoyed it, but can't really recommend it. Watchmen Deluxe Edition - what is there to say about this one? Again, I ditched my old tpb to this same friend (he scored quite well from me that day) in favour of the hardcover Deluxe Edition. I'm glad I did. This is the edition I've been waiting for. It's beautiful, and just the right size to be a comfortsble read, with the same colouring as the Absolute. Great story, love that pirate comics took off, and that we get to see one, and such a great one. Pity we never saw a complete issue of Tales Of The Black Freighter, in print. Highly recommended. Green Lantern Emerald Allies tpb - Kyle Rayner and Connor Hawke go on some road trips, just like their forebears did, bonding along the way. This pair work really well together, and they're impossible not to like. Only thing I don't like about this tpb is it gives no closure about Kyle's father. Oh well. Still a nice journey. A fun comic, that you don't really see much of anymore. Marvels Busiek and Ross - I've had this for years, I checked the year of publication of this edition, 2008, and I've never read it. So after 16 years I figured it was time. You could tell it was an earlier Ross, not as confident in his figure work, nor as detailed as he'd later get, but where he lacked Busiek's writing held him up, making them a perfect pairing. Really well done, and I especially enjoyed seeing how the beer was made in the special edition contents for this book. Really opened my eyes. Definitely one you've got to read at least once. All in all, that takes me up to 684 books read, and next up is Green Lantern Corps omnibus volume 1, a book I know I enjoy, so this is going to be a pleasant read. See you all in the funny pages!
  7. There's quite a bit of material in between the 2 events you might want to read, especially if you haven't before. It's all very good stuff. It's only about 16 issues or so, too.
  8. Thank you!! I also hate the story in the comics, but apparently you can't say that. It's like saying I peed in the sauerkraut everyone!
  9. X-Men 97 - good episode, aaand then it went into Lifedeath. Blurgh. Another whole episode of this? Please, no. I'll take the worst of the OG series over Lifedeath.
  10. I might have to sit this one out. I'll see what things are like closer to the final sign-up time. If not, someone else is going to have to keep last place warm for me.
  11. It's only just been sent. Like literally would have just left their warehouse. So they must have mangled it going out the door.
  12. Anyone ever come across this problem before? I'm totally bewildered.
  13. I hope this project goes through. It sounds like it's made of the right stuff. Though I think he's making a mistake dismissing the 2011 show. It was wonderful, very high quality. I still wish someone would fund a second season for it.

    RIP MD Bright

Yeah, this isn't it's first announcement, they showed it off a few weeks ago, including in the iconic 'ARE ALL DEAD' pose. Just bad timing putting it up today. Hasbro probably doesn't even know who did the cover for them now. I greatly enjoyed his work on Iron Man, I wish Armour Wars had a more deluxe collection than just the tpb I've had for years. They should do Deluxe Editions like DC does. AW is perfect for one. I forgot to list his Green Lantern work. I loved his art on Emerald Dawn 1 and 2. The stories were a bit so-so, I could never figure out if I thought they were fitting backstory for Hal or not, but Bright's art was their definite highlight. Sad for him that they'll never get reprinted again, but oh well, that's the risk you take with collaboration, I guess. At least there were tpbs done around 2002, which I have, and will be treating extra well. They're not my favourite stories, but I'm glad to have them, you know?
  15. Comic artist MD Bright, most famous for his Iron Man run and his iconic Transformers #5 cover for Marvel, passed away last week at age 68, it has been confirmed. May he rest in peace, and condolences to his family and friends.
  16. Good news! They're well into production of season 3, which has been greenlit. https://www.cbr.com/x-men-97-season-3-confirmed-marvel/
  17. Damn. My condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time, and to his accusers, who must feel like hell, knowing the outcome of them coming forward. I hope they don't blame themselves.
  18. Oh no. I saw the suicide note posted some hours ago, I hoped someone who knew him had intervened. Yes he deserved being called out, but not a death sentence. I hope he's found alive and well. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time, and I hope he's found alive and well.
  19. I LOVED seeing Gambit charge up Wolverine's claws. Even though that probably should have ended in an explosion of Wolverine's arms, rule of cool prevailed and gave us a shoe-stopping moment.
  20. It's my right to choose where my money goes. No one is owed it, especially not some random American I have no connection with. It's not my fault you have a third world healthcare system, so I don't why I as an Australian should be expected to cover for it And yes, happy Easter to you too.
  21. I would prefer to donate to Mrs Bails if she were to ask for such a thing.
  22. The Reddit poster you're talking about wasn't aware the links didn't work, and seeing the thread is now locked there's no point in updating them anyway. The Reddit poster also knows he wasn't the only one who saw it, but is willing to act like he was, if that's the way we're going to play it. Just because someone is dead doesn't erase their bad deeds in my eyes. It's important we get a balanced view of them. You want to rave about him, I'm just here reminding people he was also a known scammer.
