  1. I think your title sums it up. "If Marvel and DC were smart." But they are buffering their sales with variants, so who are the smart ones?
  2. Sorry, she looks like the Joker in drag.
  3. If that is a Major, then I am definitely going back to College. Anybody have Lori Loughlin's phone number?
  4. There is a planet called Mercury? I just like to eat a lot of tuna.
  5. I grow tired of the 'movie' appearance pump. Oh, well Disney now has the rights, so now if there is a new X-Men movie, then the price will go up even more....uh...why? We've seen Wolverine in X-Men movies since what, the year 2000. That being said, something is worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it.
  6. Again, it's a comic book. What's the point of owning a book if you can't crack it open and read it once in awhile. Yeah, yeah, trades, reprints etc. But nothing replicates the sight, smell, feel of great looking girl.....wait what are we talking about again.
  7. I can think of some great, complete,no pages missing comics to buy for $1900.
  8. At this point, with as many sales as he has had, I start to blame the stupidity of the people who are buying them.
  9. FACT: People die at a rate of 20x more annually from selfies than they do from shark attacks. So next time you are at the beach- for the love of god....GET IN THE WATER!!!!
  10. No offense but your nephew sounds like a real *spoon*. I would have a talk with him, if her were in my family. Time to put on the big boy pants.
  11. Comic book- $1 Sharpie- $1.69 Ebay Fee- guessing a few bucks Sale Price- $25 Result:
  12. I would love for a CGC grader to lay out 5 books, and tell us 1 is 10.0, 2 are 9.9, and 2 are 9.8. And then have us guess. Then have him/her explain how they came to the conclusion. I bet the differences between the 10.0 to the 9.9 and then the 9.9 to the 9.8 would be imperceptible to the point of insanity. I have a Spawn #1 in 9.8 from CGC. It's perfect. If you put it in a 9.9 or 10.0 nobody would dispute.
  13. 9.9 is such a useless grade. Oh it's almost perfect butttttt....... (that is what your 9.8 should be for then, since millions of your graded books come out 9.8, especially moderns.
  14. The grader must have been looking long and hard at those to find a perfect 10.....(see what I did there).
  15. I had some of these. I never understood the sleeveless roid rage thing though.
  16. Kind of creepy. A tweet (from my understanding *sarcasm*), is a real time statement with a date stamp, offering an observation/rant/musing from the person. If you are dead-mort-toast-deceased- your Twitter account would not be accurate.
  17. From my childhood, off the rack at 7-11, and it's the King after all....
  18. I agree with 10 titles per month. But I would still keep the medium as is not a TPB delivered to your door, keep the LCS alive, give them a break on the whole variant b.s., stop the mega cross over events. I look at the shelf today, and shake my head on some of the titles Marvel and DC are releasing. Totally uninteresting characters, average art, and titles I just can't put $4 behind.
  19. Welcome to the boards. The CGC service certainly takes the guess work and haggle out of grading, so everybody (both buyer and seller) is on the same page during the transaction. But don't go slabbing crazy. A mid grade Silver/Bronze age book probably doesn't need to be slabbed unless it's a big key. There are plenty of overpriced 5.0 graded books on ebay, where the cost to get them graded, encased and shipped has made the profit margin for the seller, less than what the book is worth.
