  1. I agree, anybody who is that big a pain in the a......should be forced to work extra hard to accomplish anything. It's a 'stupid tax' as I see it.
  2. I'm on the fence. Sales are sales. But if you own something that you have enjoyed, you may like to 'vet' out your potential buyer. That comes down to personal choice It always seems like a nice utopia to get the price you want, as well as sell it to somebody who would enjoy it as a collector rather than dealer. Obviously a collector looks at a purchase as to how they can fill their needs, in the scope of their hobby. A dealer looks at a purchase as to how they can price, flip and liquidate, for maximum profit, that you may not have the time or resources for. At the end of the transaction, all that matters is both parties are satisfied. You may sell to a collector this year, but who knows...in 5 years it may get chopped up into pieces and sold to a dealer anyways, due to whatever circumstances.
  3. Batman #1 at Tampa Bay Comic Con a few years back.
  4. I'd leave it. The more you get third parties involved, and transporting etc....there is always some awful chance, something can happen. Just sayin...
  5. Stupid isn't it. I mean Fantastic Four # 7 had variants this week. WTF?!?! Is every new release getting at least 1 variant now? It gets to a point where nobody will give a F*!@*! (yeah I am looking at you Del Otto).
  6. I have only a few signatures, but this is one of my favorites, on a 12 x 18 print. Good ol' Joe.
  7. Enough to know he isn't that compelling to me, and upgrading a few of his powers to make him 'better' than Peter Parker, is a cheap grab to make him 2.0. Should have left him in the Ultimate Universe. Now he is just another Spider character in an already crowded field. I have more interest in Major X than Miles at this point. At least Major X may be somewhat unique.
  8. We saw a bump in Iron Man #1 over the years, especially when the movies hit, (which was not his first appearance), but considered a SA key. Just thinking maybe Sub-Mariner would be considered the same way, if he gets his due. It seems Sub-Mariner #1 has a lot of room for growth. He's never been a major selling character, less well known than Aquaman, still at reasonable prices. That's all I am thinking.
  9. Hmmm....this may be outside the box, and I may get pummeled, but a book like Namor The Sub-Mariner #1 seems to have a lot of room. Not a first appearance, not a 'mega' key, and it's not in line $ wise with the keys being mentioned, but just for sheer growth potential, could it be considered?
  10. Signing on the cover was happening long before CGC was around. But not sure exactly when/why they got away from the splash page.
  11. And I would have a $1 million in change. BRILLIANT!
  12. CAPTAIN AMERICA #1. Action #1 would be great, but I have always been Captain America fan.
  13. I am still waiting for Captain Carrot to hit the mainstream.
  14. I mean it can happen (Walking Dead #1), but the odds seems to be decreasing with every passing year, & the pile of crud that gets released. Does Mile Morales really warrant any excitement?! He's basically Spider-Man. Sorry, but that is true. Peter Parker has been kicking it since the 1960's. Is Miles going to be a factor in the year 2064? Peter Parker might not even be around, what makes anybody think Miles is going to stick?
  15. It's usually the people with decent cash that move out, so yes. You can still get a ton of house in Florida for $350K (but even that is starting to change, and not for the good = more expensive). I live in Florida, and it is the most popular relocation point for New Yorkers. Nothing against New Yorkers....they just better not try to change Florida into a New York State of mind.
  16. I am afraid he would accept, then I would be on the hook for $1000, which is still $990 dollars more than I would be comfortable spending on that book. (I mean the holder and microchamber paper is worth a few bucks right?)
  17. "Let me repeat that....A DC COVER ON A MARVEL COMIC!!!!!" Let me repeat- you are still a whack job, off your rocker nut case, asking $1.5 million for this dog turd
  18. Next week will be the one year anniversary since this thread started. Should we send the seller something nice, since it is still for sale? I am shocked nobody gobbled it up by now.
  19. There is a reason why New York lost 45K + residents last year. It was 1 of 9 States to actually see a decrease in population. USA TODAY 12/18: "The number of births in the state surpassed deaths by 61,371, and the state added 70,375 immigrants, according to census data. That's a 131,746 increase. However, the state's out-migration reached 180,306 in the 12 months prior to July 1, netting an overall decrease in population of 48,510 or a drop of 0.2 percent." While not a huge number given the population, but it's a trend that looks to be continuing in 2019. As long as the cost of living/high taxes vs. benefits gap continue to widen, I suspect more of the same will follow suit for many small businesses, especially in Manhattan.
  20. "No shoes, no shirt, no shower, no service".
