  1. Buyer: "Can I look at them?" Seller: "Oooohhhh! That is gonna cost ya!" Said in no successful sales transaction EVER!
  2. X-Men #1 or Daredevil #1 (both Silver Age) would be welcome additions. Just need the discipline to save the cabbage $
  3. Reason #9 why I don't give a rats arse about variants, their rarity, or their most recent sales price on ebay (or any random untrackable sale). Marvel has no shame.
  4. I remember being a wee lad and reading it when it came out. Did not like it, and didn't 'get' it. Now...excellent!
  5. Can't wait till they relaunch new #1's in a few years, after the Legacy numbering. Then you will have Pre-Legacy Numbering #1's and Post-Legacy Numbering #1's.........
  6. I can't compete with the above post, found this today, $1 each.
  7. I never used it, but I think it's popular to put a sheet in between the cover front and back page. They say replace every 7 years, so there is that as well. As for boards- YES! 4 mil are pretty thick, but boards boards boards.
  8. Stan has signed so much stuff during his lifetime, that soon there will be a premium for unsigned Stan Lee comics
  9. Action Comics #1. Then I would sell it and start all over again.
  10. I remember when high grade copies of this were at about $35-$50. A few years later the insanity kicked in. It's a great comic, a great character, and the black frame is hard to find in nicer grade. But $1300 for one?....pass.
  11. Why do humans continue to ruin everything. From the oceans to endangered species to comic books. It's a shame.
  12. Mylites are always the best choice for storage. You will eventually be replacing the polybags anyway (5 years for most collectors, some are more anal and do it more frequently, some say they haven't rebagged for longer periods). The main thing is to keep your comics in a place that is dark, cool and dry. If you can do it financially, mylites from the start, which should last a long long time. If not, rinse and repeat.
  13. Haven't seen it yet. I think critics are overly harsh on these type of movies. They are big, loud, full of eye candy with minimal substance. They are supposed to be fun, and they are.
  14. Well his appearance in Orlando last year was his last trip to Florida.....until he came to Orlando this year, but that was his last appearance in Florida....until 5 months after that, when he came back to Tampa, and that will be his last appearance in Florida.......stay tuned....
  15. Probably not Jack Kirby's best inaugural issue cover.
  16. Tampa Comic Con and Orlando Megacon were the two big ones here. It's a 1 1/2 hour drive between the two cities. Now Tampa has to deal with Tampa Megacon, mere months after Tampa Comic Con. Too much. Not to mention some of the smaller cons that happen in the area. It's officially overkill in Central Florida.
  17. Those shows at least are going (or have gone in the case of BB) somewhere. The Walking Dead is a treadmill of one very similar calamity to the next. It is no longer compelling.
  18. Looks to be in nice condition. You may want to measure it to make sure it hasn't been trimmed (that top looks a little close to the Comic Code stamp, from some other examples you see). Send it off to CGC for a grade if unsure and since it is considered a key, but if it checks out, anywhere from $700-$1000 probably.
  19. "Worth more" is starting to become debatable. There are sooooo many Stan Lee signed books, that supply will probably outpace demand. Look at ebay. How many signed CGC books go unsold for whatever reason (price, placement, not desirable book) etc. I don't care one lick about signed comics. I do like to have prints signed, so I can frame them and enjoy them. But I have zero interest in a signed comic.
