  1. Decent cover but not even a Top 5 Harvey cover for me nor even a Top 10 PCH cover….I just don’t get the appeal.
  2. The staple rust could also be a by-product of the storage of slabbed books. I’m not sure how many collectors are aware of the staple rust issue involved with certain fireproof safes.
  3. Thanks for sharing these pages! I don’t think I’ve seen these issues of New Adventure up for sale since.
  4. Is there a full list of what was in the collection?
  5. Embrace under flashlight to embrace under moonlight
  6. I was happy to have won this beauty recently. The first time outside of pulps that Lovecraft’s Necronomicon is used.
  7. I realize this isn’t a pulp and will gladly take it down if y’all feel it doesn’t fit here, but this was the first mention of The Necronomicon in comics.
  8. This is probably my favorite thread on the boards, and I’m always happy when I can contribute to it. Here’s Comics Magazine (Funny Pages) #3, from July, 1936. Paper stock including covers, like a handful of early comics were in 1935/6. 6 blues on the census.
  9. A recent pickup here on the boards. 6 blues on the census, and a Jack Cole Plastic Man prototype. Plus, a German shooting up cocaine a year before the US entered the war!
  10. Wow. Yeah, that is absolutely ridiculous! It should be much higher.
  11. What rank does the new OPG have them at?
  12. Comics’ first Halloween cover, and only one copy on the census.
