  1. Looks like the San Gabriels in the background..... which foothill city were you in? --ElJay
  2. Dang! 5 hours late! I've been after an AS27 for a couple of years now... GLWTS!
  3. Hey, hope you guys all have a good time this weekend, and good hunting! Of all the cons, this is the one I'd most like to attend. Well, if we move back to the US in two years maybe I'll get to go.
  4. One of these was my first 2018 purchase; I think the Kilroys edged out WF by a day.
  5. I've always liked these two, along with the already-posted Sparky Watts. Note: images grabbed from the net. I've got these books, but they're in storage in the US while I'm in Thailand teaching science!
  6. The front cover looks like it's adapted from Popular 81.
  7. Thanks for the responses! But what about the code in the A of Action? It resembles some of the codes on Okajima's but it's also different from the ones I've seen. Okajima? Or unknown? --ElJay
  8. So every time you see Action 61, it's always accompanied by the description "atomic radiation cover". What evidence is there that this is what the cover depicts? As I look at the cover, I see Supe putting out an oil fire; note the oil rigs in the background. Does anyone have any info on this? And...the image of the book is one I found on the net, and I note an odd code in the A of Action - is this an Okajima? Thanks for your time! --ElJay
  9. Sukasan Wahn Krismat! Merry Christmas from Thailand!
  10. Yours looks a lot like mine! I've been after an upgrade for awhile, but no luck so far.
  11. I was first exposed to Fred Harman and Red Ryder back when I was a kid, reading the Sunday Funnies. I forgot all about him until a year or so ago, when I came across a Red Ryder comic book and it ignited my interest. I not only like his drawing style, but the stories are a cut or two above the norm, IMO. So far I have 3 or 4 Red Ryders, but I plan on steadily and slowly collecting them.
  12. Weren't they named for the Jetson's dog?
  13. Looks like you got a decent haul of GA WDCS and Terrytoons!
  14. Good points raised! Hang in there James! -ElJay
  15. My small haul. The Don Winslow is a nice upgrade over my current #15.
