  1. Regarding the Fleischer cartoons, I read many years ago that the studio did want to have Supe fly, because it just looked lame (modern term) to have him bounding from place to place. I also recall that it was the cartoon "The Arctic Giant" (1942) that triggered the request for flight. Take a look at the cartoon on Youtube; Supe does indeed look strange leaping from building to building and then from mountaintop to mountaintop. --ElJay

  4. Butt or booty, the Indian maiden seems interested in what's going on back there!
  5. Interesting confluence of interests: I've been thinking seriously of doing a Hickory run myself, but have not yet gotten around to pulling the trigger. --ElJay

  9. Very easy guy to deal with, and friendly to boot! Would I buy from Bob again? In a Flash! --ElJay
  10. OK, I've got a question. I get that a comic that has been unsold and has then had the cover defaced is remaindered. However, what about the comics that this thread started off with? Aren't these complete? Or Robotman's "Kings of the remaindered"? These look complete. What am I missing here? Thanks for your responses! --ElJay
  11. I was wondering when "How Boys and Girls can help win the War" was going to make an appearance! This has been a really interesting and informative thread, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. --ElJay
  12. Regarding the postwar covers and the homecoming of the troops, take a look at All Star 27 and Supersnipe Vol 2 #12.
