  1. So back on Tuesday you mentioned that you found a book on eBay that you'd been after for 10 years..... so what was it??? Did you finally nail a Fawcett Funny Animals 6?? --ElJay
  2. I live in Chiang Mai - what temple was that? --ElJay
  3. Right! Upon opening the coupon info, it was for specific items, as you said. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the coupons that are good for collectibles. --ElJay
  4. Now that everyone gave guidance, I note that today there's a 20% off Labor Day coupon on the eBay main page. Thanks! --ElJay
  5. OK; thanks. I guess I've just never noticed them before. --ElJay
  6. Although I've been bidding/buying on eBay since 1999 or so, I can't seem to find these coupons anywhere on the site. Can someone kindly point out how to get these coupons? Thanks! --ElJay
  7. My threshold is that the cover specifically gives credit to the ladies. The Target v6#3 above is a good example, and one I had forgotten about. Covers where the uniformed nurse is bound or otherwise being rescued wouldn't count, as the focus is the rescuing or the bondage. The Wow 15 above is a patriotic cover (and a great one!), but not one that really has anything to do with women's contributions to winning the war. The Camera 3 is more of a "smack the axis" cover, and although a woman is involved, it doesn't speak to the war effort by women during WW2. So we're up to 4 comics that meet my criteria. Can anyone come up with some others? --ElJay
  8. So how many GA wartime comics are there that give credit to the ladies for their contribution in winning WW2? I'm only aware of the three that are pictured below: are there others? -ElJay
  9. Guess this fits. Canadian Hickory #2. Sorry about the yellowish tinge; it's the room lighting.
  10. Weirdos, Big Daddy Roth, Rat Fink.... I remember them all! Robot, you and I must be of similar age. --ElJay
  11. As I recall, you can find "Real Life Comics" and "Real Life Picture Magazine", with the latter being very scarce.
  12. Here's my highest - thanks to Jeff (Nearmint)!
  13. I agree that CAG isn't the most exciting title, but I'm trying to complete a run of all the covers with the "letter" on them. I think that I am only missing Big Shot 57, but I'll have to check my list. I had thought about collecting all of the magazines with the "letter" along with the comics, but I can't collect everything.... AJD, that will be one cool time warp newsstand when you complete it! --ElJay
  14. Just landed this one recently after a 2 year search. Not a bond or stamp cover, but one of the "letter to the American people" covers.
  15. WooHoo! A decent (probably) small comic con and I'll be in SoCal and not yet back in Thailand! I think I'm excited about this. --ElJay
  16. Well, now I know who outbid me! And you're right, that was a decent (fairly inexpensive) price.
  17. I'm a Kilroy fan also. However, I can't collect everything, so I have limited my collecting to only those covers that have "Kilroy Was Here" somewhere on the cover. I think that's only about 6 books out of the whole run! --ElJay
