As long as I was sharing those... might as well give an overview of what my collection looks like now... since it’s easy to do, being so small.  Everything I own is framed and up on these two walls in my home office...

Most collectors seem to use art portfolios like the Itoya brand to store their artwork.

I have been organizing my art by character. So I had separate portfolios for Spider-Man, the X-Men, etc., regardless of the artist.  It always got a bit tricky if there was a cross-over.  It was always fun for me to go through a portfolio of Spider-Man art and seeing how different each artist drew the same character.  It also made more efficient use of the portfolio since I could randomly place a piece of art in one of the 48 sleeves of the portfolio.  (thumbsu

Recently, I've been re-evaluating my collection.  I am now thinking organizing by artist. I've always organized my CAF gallery that way so it makes more sense from a curator point of view.  I probably will have to buy a lot more portfolios though. hm

So, how do you organize your artwork and why? (shrug)

Sounds like you have a ton of art to get a portfolio for each character - unless you only collect spidey.

I organize by age - modern vs older stuff, then by character - but it's all within the same portdolio(s) I use the itoya books with removable pages so I can move things around as I get new pieces or let go of a piece.

No love for Bizarro? Always wanted to see him pop up in a Superman movie. I guess he almost did for Superman IV. There’s cut footage out there on YouTube.

i have to admit that while I am 'grossed out' by the realism - that 2nd image is fantastic! is the artist of the 2nd image the same as the first?

It might have depended on the light you viewed it in the first time compared to what you're seeing now.  Incandescent, LED, florescent, etc can all have different wavelengths which can make a page look creamy in one case and p i s s yellow in another.

    hi Stan,

yeah - I agree with Scott here. if you look at the Deodato Elektra thread - I posted the ebay image, then after I got the art I posted an image I took. it went from yellow to white.  well the art didnt change - but the image changed. so unless you saw the actual art change - it is likely more to do with the lighting in the room at the time of the photo.

I feel like joking to say that its overkill - but honestly - its just pure class. very well done!
