  1. Discover the best places to go are amusement parks. Went to Great Adventure this weekend with the kids and there were like 20 Poke Stops and four gyms.
  2. This series super long layoff is frustrating. I actually like Capaldi, and thought the last series was very good. I am also excited for the overall big shakeup that is going to happen with both a new show runner and a new Doctor next time around.
  3. This would shock me also. For better or worse, I think the next Doctor will be either a minority or a woman. They have been laying the groudwork for this for years.
  4. That sir, is sacrilege. It's true. Name me one recent season that hasn't had at least one terrible episode in it. Even the best shows make some episodes every season. Doctor Who is overall very solid and will range from 1 or 2 episodes to 2 or 3 fantastic in a given season. I call that a win. So many shows get 22 episodes here and still only manage the 2 great episodes. For the record Tennant is the best modern Doctor. I was always a big Buffy fan and 80% of the sixth season is bad culminating with the unwatchable Doublemeat Palace episode, and the almost as bad Bad Beer episode from season four.
  5. A rumor just hit that Tina Minoru mother of Nico Minoru may be appearing in the Dr. Strange movie prequel comic. If true this may be setting up Runaways for a future Marvel movie. Is Runaways 1 about to spike? 6. Rats I like a bunch of stuff from the BBC, but can not understand how those of you in the UK tolerate such short seasons, and shows getting made when they get made rather than having a defined schedule.
  7. Honestly DC has had this problem also. Wonder Woman is promoted as one of the big three, but at the same time has problems maintaining a solo book in modern times. She never had runs approaching Batman, Superman, or even Green Lantern and Aquaman. The longest running solo modern DC female character is Catwoman. But to give both Marvel, and DC credit they do keep trying.
  8. If that's a legit sale - wow! Agreed! That would be one very strong price for a 0.5 copy. It makes me happy though I love my PLOD 0.5 but complete copy of AF 15!!!! SO what's it worth now?
  9. that's the one I thought of too That could win for the worst signature placement ever, regardless of who singed it.
  10. She has been building in popularity for many years, and is the new Wolverine. There are also several rumors that the character is going to be in the next Wolverine movie.
  11. I wonder if I should buy it at $100? I managed to grab one like 4 days ago for $55, that looks to be about an 8.5, but should be pressable and might get a 9 or a 9.2 out of it. I noticed other copies that were in far worse shape (7.5 to 8.0) with many spine tics and color lose on the back spine that were going for $75 plus. Even the Marvel Must Have reprints of NYX3 and NYX 4 are now getting $15 or more. I am 95% sure I have the X-23 Woman of Marvel issue somewhere but have not been able to dig it out yet. There's a 6.5 that is selling for $75. Should I buy it? My gut says this book is going to come back down to earth some. I think that 6.5 will lose about 1/2 its value over the next year. If $75 is not a hardship for you maybe, but be very cautious.

  13. OK, sure it has been mentioned. But NYX 3 has gotten so pricey that NYX 4 is now going bat crazy. Just saw over $400 for a 9.8, and yes she is on the cover, but has like 1 page on the interior.
  14. PG-13 means wider market distribution, which is what they need right now. Good move. It does make me doubt if the studio would green light SS 2 as an R film however. By changing ratings mid stream you would risk alienating younger fans of the first film.
  15. I think we can make if official. This movie has caused more angst and division than any previous movie on this forum. How the hell is a move that has been out for 2 months still generating this many posts, regardless of your personal feelings about the film. But then I just added to the post count. Bad poster.
  16. Rogue 1 will eke past $1B. I predict Star Wars fatigue will set in long before super hero fatigue does, as they are almost literally telling the same story over and over and over. If suicide squad even hits $500MM worldwide it should be considered a success. -J. Way too quick to bet on Star Wars fatigue. Most people loved TFA, and so did critics. The only way you get fatigue in the next 3 to 4 years is if Disney proves they do not know how to expand Star Wars stories. Rogue one is the first try at story expansion. I think the danger zone does not come till after SW 9. I would be shocked if SS only did $500 MM. I think $700MM to $750MM is a fairly safe bet. That is where many of the 2nd tier superhero movies seem to be settling. My bets for 1 bil WW box are Rogue, and Nemo. Not sure anything else will get there.
  17. I would love it Bond went retro, and brought back the Sean Connery 60's feel to the series. For me the recent movies have suffered from the original becoming the imitator. We have so many action spry movies out the last few years it has become very hard for any to distinguish themselves. So they need to do something with a twist, or at least set it apart.
  18. I know this title comes up all the time, and a lot recently, but NYX 3 is now officially bonkers. Possible NM raws over $300, a 9.6 Best Offer in the ballpark of $749 (BIN was that price), 9.8's over $1000!!!! I got my 9.4 like 6 months ago and paid about $200 and if these prices hold it will be one of my best investments ever. Second appearance and variants are spiking also. All this over an unconfirmed possible movie appearance.
  19. Can't wait to see the next slapped together film, using the same cast (do they have a multi movie contract?), made with only a 50 mil budget. Should be awesome.
  20. I think that 95% of the variant covers will crash. I am making a small exception for Adam Hughs covers, and MAYBE Campbell covers. If there is a situation where you get a variant on what becomes a key book, all bets could be off just for that issue.
  21. Going to miss this series, Hailey just bring such a fun aspect to the Marvel Universe. I like her portrayal of Agent Carter better than almost any other character we have seen on screen. Guess the funeral in CW was a hint of what was coming. I may try the new series just because she is in it.
  22. I wonder how much the budget has been cut? I know the show was reported to be 3 mil per episode. No way CW can afford that. I can't see them spending any more than about 2 mil per episode. The move to Vancouver should help some, but what else will need to give. Granted Calista Flockhart was apparently the main reason it was shot in LA to begin with, so we will see how long she remains with the show given that. Apparently CW does now officially stand for Comic World Network.
  23. Umm, more DCMU problems? http://movieweb.com/aquaman-movie-director-james-wan-exit-rumor/
