  1. I typically respond that way to inquiries on NFS pieces. It's not listed, but I'm always open to hearing offers. The onus is on the person inquiring to make said offer since it's not technically on the market. What irks me is when people reach out unsolicited and refuse to state an offer price when requested. Anywho, I've both bought and sold pieces this way. Sometimes you run into people who are looking for market value or below, and others a FMV multiple. That's why, personally, I don't write people off based on verbiage.
  2. Agreed re: Glapion. Perhaps why Capullo went back to him for Reborn and Metal. Capullo decided prices here, from what I've been told. Danny is aware of the tremendous costs
  3. Banner year for me – don't think any other will be like it. Hard to pick just five, so went for variety over what I personally like best. 2017 art goal: rest. My Lowry: http://www.comicartfans.com/mylowry.asp?gsub=3569 Thanks for looking – excited to see what else pops up.
  4. ^He sold everything he was willing to sell on Locke & Key. I've made him good offers in the past and they've been ignored. There's someone on CAF with a bunch of L&K covers, but he wants a high multiple of what they originally cost. He also mentioned the IDW president was buying up L&K covers a year or so ago (common news now that they're trying to make it into a TV show, though the jury is still out on whether that will happen.) Good luck.
  5. Wow, that's insane. GREAT page. Stan Lee thing baffles me.
  6. Bit on two pieces which had no reserve. Suddenly, a reserve. I'm afraid that's enough to prevent me from bidding again.
  7. Lowered prices are only on Haunt + Spawn; not Batman. I've found they've actually increased Batman prices since I first saw the list I know they sold a number of Spawn pieces but haven't yet updated the site, oddly. The 54 cover is inked by McFarlane. Every new Spawn piece there credits McFarlane as inker, but I'm not sure if that's correct, having done a bit of research...Best to clarify with them. Curious if this means Danny will be allowed to sell his covers through ArtistsChoice for under 30K now, given Greg's $4-8K covers. Haunt prices are reasonable, but I believe they're only half the set. If I'm not mistaken, Glapion has his own inks for those which don't seem to be included in the sale.
  8. That's awesome, Tony – congrats. You picked both that and the JRJR Wolverine piece from Alex, correct? He also has a great collection; curious to see what he purchased with those funds.
  9. I consider those who don't sell for even absurd amounts BHCs. I've come across a couple on CAF, who have zero intention of selling anything. But I can certainly appreciate the sentiment Meeley Man and Rick possess. To me, those collectors are something else entirely, and what I typically attribute to "whales." I've heard of this cabal. What's his username?
  10. Had to sacrifice a lot of pieces for this one, but couldn't be happier! http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1341616
  11. Great as always. Particularly interesting topic this time around. Thanks, Felix and contributors.
  12. Daredevil (2015) #11 Variant Cover by Alex Maleev. Acrylics and gouache on Arches heavy board, 16x20"
  13. FYI: I believe this just went up for $9500 and was almost immediately put On Hold. http://www.romitaman.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=20029&ArtistId=1447
  14. Unless you're getting paid a grand a piece for stabbing them you're gonna still have to set up a payment plan. Bummer, I only know the 38 hobos. I believe that will be the iconic Joker cover of this decade. 39 is my favourite joker cover of their run...but $30K...y'ouch. Death of the Family has some nice pieces, too. Personally, I'm partial to this given the sheer creepiness, though obviously I'm biased! Just read that trade over the weekend. This was the best image in the entire thing. Totally agree with you. Congrats! Thanks. The whole book was pretty creepy, but that image in particular was piercing. Wife hates it .

  16. Thanks, Thawk! @Matthew – How did you grab that from him anyhow? He used to never sell any art – and even now it's still excruciatingly difficult to pry things from him.
  17. Thrilled with this DPS from Snyder/Capullo's Batman: COURT OF OWLS. CAF comments appreciated! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1314363
  18. Saw that yesterday. Great page. Love the silhouettes especially. Congrats. Jeez, one thing I don't think anyone can argue about is you are building the best Court Of Owls collection around. Thanks. Tried aggressively for some time to get a Court cover, but that ain’t happening. I’ve been told Greg’s not selling any time soon, if ever.
  19. Whelp. Just added a Court of Owls DPS to my CAF collection: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1314363
  20. To clarify, this is just Greg's site. He's sold quite a few $$$$$ pages outside of it at cons.
  21. I've been tracking. The pages that have sold online via Greg's site have cost: 1300, 1600, 1600, 1400, 2700, 3000, 1000, 3500. I'm missing two, but they were $1K range.
  22. Will it even reach 6-8? Judging by how many years the other covers sat at these prices (until yesterday), it's unlikely. It'll be interesting to see nevertheless.
