    ...I have this bad feeling it’s gonna show up as 9.0 or worse. I hate to think it but what if it was damaged when they removed it from its original case and now I’m getting the big screw.

    Sent in a book for reholder (it had a crack) mid August and received an email stating the books condition does not match CGC grading standards for its given grade (9.6). So I was told it had to be regraded or returned as is. The book is also a pedigree so I wanted the new pedigree designation label. I had to submit under the value tier so instead of waiting 2-3 weeks I’m waiting 5-6 months. Don’t know what could’ve happened to the book to make the grade drop but whatever.

    Becoming a “trade waiter” has made new books a lot more fun for me. I roll my eyes real hard at those that say moderns suck. Nah, man, you just don’t care to give different ones a chance. So be it I guess. Be an old grouch. There’s still real talent and great stories out there. Now, if it’s a $$$ thing I understand. Those 4.99 cover prices do suck. I really enjoy watching Omnidogs Vault on YouTube, he’s a guy in his 60’s who grew up on silver age comics and loved them but also collects new books and loves them too.

    Agreed, I know it’s not a film for everyone and obviously brings up a lot of controversial points. If I wanted to get critical and nit picky I could find ways to give it a 9/10. But as I said, I just felt Joaquin’s performance was so good I had to give it a perfect score.

    10/10 from me. I loved this movie. Phoenix is brilliant. One of the best performances I’ve ever seen. It made me feel unsure at first but after acclimating to his awkwardness I really enjoyed it. There were moments that seem to have went on too long but I think that’s just part of the films whole vibe and not a mistake. I didn’t think any movie would compete with Tarantino’s “Once Upon...” for my movie of the year but it comes pretty darn close. I’m so happy for Joaquin. He truly “went there” and gave a legendary character a true dedication. Who knows what Heath would’ve gave us if he had his own Joker movie. He’ll always be remembered. But Joaquin is the new Joker. Just perfect.

    Sandman and Preacher are the Must Own Absolutes IMO. It can become over kill after that. IST prices are fair with 42% off. Sometimes cheaper eBay deals pop up.

    Posted this over in Uncle Bounty’s Halloween sales thread as well to celebrate. Make sure to go check out his freaky goodies. This one of my favorite books. Such a sweet cover that I never get bored looking at. Hope to get a more minty copy someday but this one is special to me. And I justified slabbing it because I have a lower grade copy that I can still flip through.
